Jacob turned to Tara and growled sounding fully canine which cause Tara to step deeply afraid. "Look what you've done," he snarled. Then he ran off the way Susannah had. When he found her he quietly walked in and put a hand on her shoulders pulling her into his arms. "Please Susannah I swear I didn't know," he pleaded.

Susannah pulled out of his arms and turned to look at him, putting a distance of 3 or 4 feet between them. "How in the world could you have not known?" she asked, not sounding angry, or upset. Just...indifferent, like it didn't matter anymore what he said because she'd already made a decision.
The indifference hurt Jacob more than if she had been yelling because it meant that she stopped caring. "I didn't see," he said quietly knowing how ridiculous it sounded.
"Didn't see? Jacob, we look nothing alike. She has blonde hair, I have red. She has blue eyes, mine are green. She's even a little taller than me. How could you possibly not have seen who you were kissing?" Susannah asked in that same tone of voice.
"My eyes were closed," Jacob said in a low tone.
"Why were your eyes closed?" Susannah asked.
"Because she snck up behind me and told me too, pretending to be you," he said. "Susannah please I wouldn't, couldn't do that to you."
"You keep saying that, Jacob. You keep saying that you won't hurt me, or couldn't or whatever. But you keep doing it. Again, and again, and again." Susannah said, the slightest bit of pain entering her eyes and voice.
"I don't mean to," Jacob said putting a hand on her cheek.
Susannah moved his hand, and stepped even farther back. "I know you don't." she said, the indifference coming back as if the previous crack in her shield hadn't happened. "But...well, I just don't know how much more I can take. I've forgiven you a lot Jacob, because I'm fighting to stay with you. Because I think you're worth the fight. But I don't know if I can keep it up."
Jacob stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Susannah's waist regardless of her previous reaction to him. "I will never give up fighting for you," he whispered putting his forehead against hers. "Please don't give up on me," he finished. He was so close that his lips brushed against hers as he spoke.
"I'm afraid." Susannah whispered to him, not moving back this time.
"Of?" Jacob asked almost not wanting to hear the answer.
"I'm afraid of this stupid fire power, I'm afraid that I can't trust my eyes. I'm also afraid that I'll lose you." Susannah answered.
"You will never lose me," Jacob said quietly. "I can't make garentees about your power or even believing your eyes but I swear you'll never ever lose me. Not unless you want to."
"But you and what I see are connected." Susannah said. "Like two days ago when I saw you breaking up with me. Or when it seemed like you were kissing Tara on purpose. Two times in the past two days it's seemed like I've lost you. What if I really do lose you and I can't tell?"
"Susannah, as long as you don't want to lose me you won't," Jacob said.
You can't know that. Susannah wanted to say, but then the bell rang and she said, "I need to get to class."
Jacob kissed Susannah for just a moment. "I'll see you after school?" He asked.
Susannah nodded. "Yes. And I'm sorry I keep blaming you for things you didn't do."
"It's alright," Jacob said. He gave Susannah another kiss before leaving.
Susannah walked to the class next to the one she had been in. In her haste to escape the hallway, she'd walked into the wrong class.
Jacob passed Tara on his way out and growled again, very quietly.Rebecca heard the bell ring and looked in the direction of the school.
Susannah turned her attention to the teacher."You wanna go back?" Zach asked Rebecca.
"I don't really care although I am getting a little bit bored," Rebecca said.
"And school isn't boring?" Zach asked.
"Thats true it is," Rebecca said. "Well I don't know, what do you think? Should we go back or not?"
"Well, if we're bored either way, we should go be bored in school. That way it keeps them from calling our parents." Zach said.
"Alright," Rebecca said slowly getting up from the ground. Then she thought she smelt something in the trees.
Zach stood as well, noticing a smell as well.
"Do you smell that?" Rebecca asked. "It smells like a person."
"Yeah." Zach said. "It smells exactly like...but no, she'd be in school..."By this time, Adrian was slowly trying to leave without making noise.
"Why would she be here anyway?" Rebecca said knowing who Zach was talking about.
"She wouldn't...I mean, there's no reason for her to be. Could she have been here this morning or yesterday, and that's what we're smelling?" Zach asked.
"Maybe," Rebecca said. "But it's really fresh."
Zach started to slowly walk towards the smell, and Adrian tried to go quicker, but it wasn't easy because she had to make certain not to make any noise.
Rebecca focused on being at the end of the scent trail and then found herself right near Adrian but not close enough for Adrian to have seem her just appear. She walked forward quickly but quietly. "Hi," she said. "What are you doing out here?"
Dang it. Adrian thought, but she turned around, a friendly smile on her face. "Hey, Rebecca. I just got bored with class. You?"
"We just came out here for lunch," Rebecca said honestly.
"Well that's nice." Adrian said. "I guess I'll see you later. I need to get back before anyone notices I'm gone."
"Yeah, same here," Rebecca said before turning and going back to tell Zach.
Adrian quickly left. She went back to the school and pushed Balthazar in a janitors closet to go over the final steps of their next move.Zach had heard most of the conversation. "Ready to head back?" he asked.
Zach wrapped an arm around her shoulders and started walking back with her.
Rebecca leaned her head against Zach as they walked.{{I'm not gonna have computer acess this weekend so bye.}}
As Zach walked, he wondered why Adrian would have been in a tree.((Ok, bye))
"Any thoughts on what she was doing?" Rebecca asked.
"None at all." Zach said. "Of course, she could always have come out into the woods to get away from school."
