"Jacob," Kahlan said still nicely has she started to walk towards the woods but already slightly less than before.

"Ok." Susannah said calmly, still as if there was nothing she could imagine being wrong. But since the thought came to her before she could tell herself how ridiculous it was, she asked, "Is anything wrong? Is he alright?"((G2G, night.))
"You'd know better than I would," Kahlan snapped venomously as they entered the trees. "How could you do that to him!?!?"
"Do what to who?" Susannah asked, perplexed.
"Jacob? I haven't done anything to Jacob." Susannah said, becoming more confused.
"That's bull," Kahlan said angrily. "I heard his thought. Now he's gone and he's never coming back because you said you didnt want him anymore this afternoon."
"I said..." Susannah trailed off, trying to think of everything she said to Jacob that day. She knew she'd been upset when she saw him kissing Tara, but she'd never say something like that.... "Kahlan, I've never told him that I don't want him." Susannah said.
"Well he wouldn't just up and leave," Kahlan said not believing Susannah. "He wouldn't leave you, not without you telling him to."
"Kahlan I swear I never said anything like that." Susannah said, Kahlan believing her not really being her first priority. Her first priority is, "Kahlan, if he really thinks that, I have to find him. I have to tell him the truth. Where is he?" she asked.
"Somewhere in Canada," Kahlan said. "Or he was before I came he could have gone somewhere else."
Susannah couldn't help it. She was mad. She was mad at whoever it was that told Jacob she didn't love him anymore and she momentarily snapped. The tips of her hair on fire due to her anger, she kicked a nearby tree, hard. Hard enough to hurt her foot, but she barely felt it as the pain helped clear her head. "Well then how am I supposed to set things straight if he's in Canada?" she asked Kahlan.
Kahlan just stood back for a moment gauging Susannah's reaction then decided that Susannah hadn't said that to Jacob and there was something else going on. "I can run faster than he can," she told her. "I can get to where he is in less time than it took him to get there. Which was only like an hour or so."
"And how does that help?" Susannah asked, confused.
"I can take you there," Kahlan said. "But theres some stuff we'll have to do first."
"Get some help and Jacob some clothes," Kahlan said. "Come on we have to go to the res."
"Ok." Susannah said as she started walking.((Sorry, I thought I'd posted. The internet's been weird and I guess it didn't save.))
{{its ok}}When they got to LaPush Kahlan turned to Susannah and told her, "Go to Jakes house and ask Billy for some clothes for Jake and some wire. If he asks what for just tell him what happened as best we know. I'll meet you back here."
Susannah nodded and walked over and knocked on Billy's house door.
Billy opened the door. "Hi Susannah I'm sorry to tell you that Jakes not home right now."While Susannah was getting clothes Kahlan got Sam, Quil, and Embry to come and help.
"Yeah, I know. Actually, I wanted to know if you could lend me some wire and some of Jacob's clothes." Susannah said.
"Sure," Billy said. "Jacob loose his temper again or something?"Kahlan told the three guys what had happened and what she needed, and most importantly that they couldn't think about Susannah at all.
"Um, not really. It's a bit more complicated." Susannah replied.
"Well not really my business," Billy said. "As long as he's not hurt." He brought out a stack of clothes and a long black cable. "Here you are. All of Jakes general requirements."
"Thanks." Susannah said, taking the items. "And, actually, I think it is your business. He's your son you should know what's going on. Plus, maybe you have some information to lend." and she quickly told him what she knew about what had happened.
Billy nodded slowly. "I really hate it when he runs away," he said. "Just make sure that he knows the truth and he'll come back."
"That's the plan." Susannah said, heading towards the door to meet up with Kahlan.
Kahlan and the others were waiting for Susannah when she got there.
"So what's the wire for?" Susannah asked as she walked up.
"To tie his clothes to his leg when he shifts," Kahlan said. "A lot of us do that." She lifted her pant leg to show a black cable the same as the one Susannah was holding loosely tied to her leg.
"Oh. Ok, that makes sense." Susannah said.
"We'll be back in a minute," Kahlan said. "We just have to shift." A few minutes later they came back in wolf form with their clothes tied to their legs. Kahlan knealt next to Susannah for her to get on.
Susannah climbed on Kahlan's back.((I G2G, night))
Kahlan took of well a head of everyone one else in just a few moments.{{same nite}}
Susannah held on so as not to fall off.
During all the time it took Jacob hadn't left from under the tree, he also didn't even pay attention to the others when they shifted which made their job easier.
While they traveled, Susannah tried to think of how best to explain to Jacob what had happened. Particularly because she wasn't quite sure what had happened.
About 30 minutes later Kahlan began to slow as they neared where Jacob was and a few minutes later the others caught up.
Susannah, who had been looking down as she thought, suddenly looked up and at their surroundings.
Kahlan stopped a few yards before they got to Jake. She let Susannah down and took the clothes. Then gave her a look that said 'Wait here or you'll ruin everything.' Kahlan moved forward to where Jacob was and dropped the clothes at his muzzle. Go change, she told him, but he just turned his head the other way. Kahlan nudged his side. Come on.Jacob got up and took the clothes and went to shift and put the clothes on. Once Jacob was back Sam, Quil, and Embry surrounded the area, and sent Susannah forward. The moment Jacob saw her he turned and began to walk away but a huge pitch black wolf stood in his way. "Move it Sam," he said but Sam didn't budge.

"Jacob, I'm so sorry." Susannah whispered, not sure if he could hear her or not, but that didn't really matter to her. She had to say these words whether he heard or listened. "I'm sorry for what she did to you." she continued a little louder. "But it wasn't me. I was not the one that broke up with you. I couldn't do that to you, Jacob. Doesn't matter if I think about it, or if I'm so mad or scared I almost seriously consider it. I could never actually do it. Remember the times when I thought maybe things would be better for the both of us if we weren't together? Like earlier today for example? Those times have taught me something that I don't think I'll ever be able to tell you enough: I love you, Jacob. I've always loved you, and will always love you. I'm not sure what happened Jacob, but I was in the library with Caleb this afternoon helping him study. I never broke up with you. Of course, whoever did is going to be really sorry she did." Susannah had to pause because just thinking about it made her so angry the tips of her hair caught fire. After shaking her head to extinguish the flames in her hair, she continued, "But it wasn't me. You can believe me or not, or stay or leave, or do whatever you want to do, but I need you to know that it wasn't me you saw this afternoon." she finished.
Jacob couldnt be upset or suspicious because this was Susannah. He went back and put a hand on her cheek. "I love you too."
"I'm sorry." She said again. She wasn't sure what she was sorry for since she wasn't the one that had broken up with him in the first place, but then it came to her. "I'm sorry I wasn't there to stop her." she admitted softly. That was what had been bothering her the most. She just couldn't believe that someone could have walked around as her and she never knew.
"It doesn't matter," Jacob said putting his forehead against Susannah's.
"Yes it does! He or she, or they, shouldn't be able to just toss our emotions around! Especially yours." Susannah said, the anger coming back until the tips of her hair caught fire again, and she had to work hard to keep her eyes from changing color. With Jacob so close to her, she didn't want him to see her like that, especially since she had absolutely no idea how to begin to control what kept happening to her hair.
"It's alright," Jacob soothed. "Calm down or your likely to set the Canadian woodland on fire."
Susannah took a couple of deep breaths until her hair extinguished. "I am calm." she insisted.
"That's better," Jacob said running his fingers through her hair.
Susannah nodded. "It would be a shame to mess up these woods."
