((Alrighty))Shadow was barely conscious. A searing pain went up through her chest. She was sure she had a few broken ribs. It was hard to breathe as she tried to look at her surroundings.
Dex walked around the forest, scanning the area. Suddenly, he saw somebody laying on the ground. He slowly walked toward the shape, his metal legs making metal sounds as he approached.
Blood trickled from shadow's forehead into her eyes, blurring her vision. She couldn't move. She heard a sound drawing closer- some kind of metal. They'd probably come to finish her off, she decided.
He soon reached her, and looked down at her. she seems to be hurt... he thought. He went down and touched her head softly with his hand.
Feeling a hand on her, Shadow impulsively jerked. If this was how it was going to end, she was gonna go down fighting. She lashed out with her bound legs and cried out as pain shot through her. Her vision became more hazy and she started to black out.
"whoa!" he called out in surprise and stumbled back a bit. "Hey, don't move, I'm trying to help you" he placed his arms under her and slowly lifted her. He started walking toward his house, keeping her straight in his arms.
Shadow's head lolled to the side as she felt someone pick her up. She didn't have any more energy to do anything against whoever it was. She heard a voice say something, but it was too muffled to understand.
Soon he reached the place he called home, which was just a cave in a mountain. He slowly placed her down on the ground and wiped off blood of her using some water and leaves.
he placed a rock under her head and covered her with a small blanket "try to get some sleep, I'll see how you do in the morning" he said as he himself went to sleep
Shadow finally blacked out completely. It wasn't much better than being awake. The pain was just as bad and she began to have feverish dreams.
Shadow's eyes fluttered open for a second, and she caught a glimpse of his face. God, she was thirsty, she realized.
"That's not good... Wait here" he walked out of the cave and came back after a while with a bucket full of cold water. He threw some water at her face.
Shadow clutched her side, and pushed herself up to where she was leaning against the wall. She looked at him suspiciously and then her eyes fell on his bottom half. She froze, panic shooting through her.
He followed her gaze to where she was staring "Don't panic" he said slowly "I'm friendly, I'm not gonna hurt you"
Shadow pushed against the wall, trying to stand up, keeping her wide eyes focused on him. What the hell was this guy? Goosebumps firmed on her skin.
Shadow still didn't answer him. She leaped up and tried to make a dash for the entrance of the cave, but her leg gave out underneath her. She clutched it in pain, shouting a string of cursed.
He walked to her and helped her back to her feet "you'll hurt yourself if you'll keep it that way. Look, I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm trying to help you"
Shadow shuddered when she looked back up at him, but there was nothing she could do. She couldn't move.
Shadow carefully took the bucket, not taking her eyes off him. She tested with a small sip, first, and then guzzled it down. "Thanks," she said, barely over a whisper.
Shadow glanced around the cave while he was gone. This place gave her the creeps, and she didn't trust him, whoever he was. But there was nothing she could do right now, she couldn't move.
