message 51: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments alright, we got everything planned! care to start us off?

message 52: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Sure! What point are we starting, is she already in the woods?

message 53: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments yeah she is. they just threw her in the woods.

message 54: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments ((Alrighty))

Shadow was barely conscious. A searing pain went up through her chest. She was sure she had a few broken ribs. It was hard to breathe as she tried to look at her surroundings.

message 55: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments Dex walked around the forest, scanning the area. Suddenly, he saw somebody laying on the ground. He slowly walked toward the shape, his metal legs making metal sounds as he approached.

message 56: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Blood trickled from shadow's forehead into her eyes, blurring her vision. She couldn't move. She heard a sound drawing closer- some kind of metal. They'd probably come to finish her off, she decided.

message 57: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments He soon reached her, and looked down at her. she seems to be hurt... he thought. He went down and touched her head softly with his hand.

message 58: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Feeling a hand on her, Shadow impulsively jerked. If this was how it was going to end, she was gonna go down fighting. She lashed out with her bound legs and cried out as pain shot through her. Her vision became more hazy and she started to black out.

message 59: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments "whoa!" he called out in surprise and stumbled back a bit. "Hey, don't move, I'm trying to help you" he placed his arms under her and slowly lifted her. He started walking toward his house, keeping her straight in his arms.

message 60: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow's head lolled to the side as she felt someone pick her up. She didn't have any more energy to do anything against whoever it was. She heard a voice say something, but it was too muffled to understand.

message 61: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments Soon he reached the place he called home, which was just a cave in a mountain. He slowly placed her down on the ground and wiped off blood of her using some water and leaves.

message 62: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow was only vaguely aware of someone tending to her.

message 63: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments he placed a rock under her head and covered her with a small blanket "try to get some sleep, I'll see how you do in the morning" he said as he himself went to sleep

message 64: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow finally blacked out completely. It wasn't much better than being awake. The pain was just as bad and she began to have feverish dreams.

message 65: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments In the morning, he woke up with a yawn and went to check on her

message 66: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow was still unconscious, and shaking just a little bit.

message 67: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments He touched her cheek "you're so cold..."

message 68: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow's reflexes kicked in again upon feeling his hand. She jerked violently.

message 69: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments "Hey hey relax there girl, I'm not gonna hurt you" he said softly

message 70: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments She didn't hear him. A small moan of pain escaped as she laid there.

message 71: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments "Try not to move" he said "just stay still and let your body do the work for you"

message 72: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow's eyes fluttered open for a second, and she caught a glimpse of his face. God, she was thirsty, she realized.

message 73: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments "do you understand me?" he asked slowly

message 74: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow didn't respond.

message 75: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments "That's not good... Wait here" he walked out of the cave and came back after a while with a bucket full of cold water. He threw some water at her face.

message 76: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow jerked up, sputtering. "What the hell-Aaah!" She cried out in pain again.

message 77: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments "At least you're awake again" he placed the bucket down "you should rest"

message 78: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow clutched her side, and pushed herself up to where she was leaning against the wall. She looked at him suspiciously and then her eyes fell on his bottom half. She froze, panic shooting through her.

message 79: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments He followed her gaze to where she was staring "Don't panic" he said slowly "I'm friendly, I'm not gonna hurt you"

message 80: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow pushed against the wall, trying to stand up, keeping her wide eyes focused on him. What the hell was this guy? Goosebumps firmed on her skin.

message 81: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments "Calm down" he said "I won't hurt you. I promise" he sat down and looked at her "I'm Dex, and you?"

message 82: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow still didn't answer him. She leaped up and tried to make a dash for the entrance of the cave, but her leg gave out underneath her. She clutched it in pain, shouting a string of cursed.

message 83: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments He walked to her and helped her back to her feet "you'll hurt yourself if you'll keep it that way. Look, I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm trying to help you"

message 84: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow shuddered when she looked back up at him, but there was nothing she could do. She couldn't move.

message 85: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments "How do you feel?" He asked her

message 86: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow swallowed, and didn't respond.

message 87: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments "I think you need some water" he brought the bucket "here, drink"

message 88: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow carefully took the bucket, not taking her eyes off him. She tested with a small sip, first, and then guzzled it down. "Thanks," she said, barely over a whisper.

message 89: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments He nodded as he watched her drink "No problem. Do you want to eat anything?"

message 90: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow hadn't realized how hungry she was, either. Slowly, she nodded.

message 91: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments "I'll go get some food then" he said and went out

message 92: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow shuddered again as she watched him leave. what the hell was he?

message 93: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments He walked around in the forest looking for fruits

message 94: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow glanced around the cave while he was gone. This place gave her the creeps, and she didn't trust him, whoever he was. But there was nothing she could do right now, she couldn't move.

message 95: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments He came back after a while with fruits and berries "I hope that's enough"

message 96: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow looked at what he'd brought and nodded. "Thanks."

message 97: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments "No problem" he gave her the food

message 98: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments Shadow ate it. After a few minutes she asked, "why are you doing this?"

message 99: by Alan (new)

Alan | 1026 comments "I found you laying in the forest, injured..." He said "I couldn't just leave you there to die"

message 100: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 2708 comments "So do you want money? Are you working for somebody?" Shadow winced as she talked. She likely had a couple broken ribs.
