Read a book set in, first published or about the 1960's. I read Body and Soul: The Black Panther Party and the Fight Against Medical Discrimination by Alondra Nelson. As indicated in the GR description, this book is mainly focused on the formation of the Black Panther Party in the mid-1960s and their focus on community health in the late 1960s, but it also covers Jim Crow and the Civil Rights Movement from earlier in the 1960s.
