May be behind on stuff, but I can't help jumping into this series the second I notice I'm within the 1 week early rule... Started this instead of Sea Watch... Only listened to the first 20m of Sea Watch before deciding against being a good little Buddy Reader...

LOL well, that is one of the reasons why we have those rules, so people can mood read with some flexibility, isn't it? I'm enjoying Sea Watch so far though.

I read this a few days ago and really enjoyed it. I mostly floated through... not quite in-one-ear-out-the-other, but I really shoulda posted during, 'cuz the plot of these is definitely meandery in a way that makes it hard to remember, as they all kinda blur together... a lot of the same enjoyable things in new ways. (view spoiler)[Parties with fun punch-lines--and added fun: duels! Loved the talking part more than the fighting here.

A lot of focus on Jason's growth and healing from his time on Earth still... Even going so far as to hide his identity and pretend to be an adventuring group's cook! The scene where the Big Bad Bully tries to strike fear into the New Kid In Town was amusing, but I would've loved to see it end with the bully realize exactly who and what he was dealing with instead of eating Jason's food and being like "oh this is good, I guess I'll let you live." I think it happened later but it's been a week now (oops) and like I said, these kind of all blend together...

There is a LOT of talk ABOUT Jason though, which kinda got a bit excessive... a lot of people taking third parties aside and being like "okay dude, you really DON'T want to mess with this guy, let me tell you about it..." I mean, I enjoyed them all, but like the fifth time or so it was getting a bit repetitive. (hide spoiler)]

I never commented on this other than saying I was gonna read early... I loved it a lot as usual... Especially pushing the Builder plot to the back burner and exploring Astral Loudness more...

Someone notable with little description... Jason in particular is obviously a Chosen One trope...

Lot of things are repetitive and I don't always enjoy following the side fights but still a fun read overall. Also I was always sucker for OP main characters...

I got a bit behind on this series but hoping to catch up to have challenge points for book 11...
