Rules
⛓️Each clown has specific chains and/or tasks that need to be completed.
Examples:
1. Create a chain of 3 using titles consecutively (ABC)
-All the Light We Cannot See
-Becoming Mrs. Lewis
-Catching Fire
2. Create a chain of 3 with "dog" in the titles
-Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of Nike
-The Dog Stars
-Hot Dog Girl
⛓️One person should NOT complete a whole chain by themselves. This is a team challenge. However, if a clown has multiple chains and a slower reader can only/want to only read for 1 or 2 chains (they must read at least one), then the other two faster readers on the team can complete the other chains between the two of them.
⛓️You may choose which clown from the list to capture first but you MUST complete it BEFORE starting a new clown.
⛓️You may use or drop articles: A, An, The
⛓️If you somehow manage to incorporate a Buddy Read into a chain, you can earn points based on the BR tier system.
⛓️Standard Rules Apply
⛓️At the end of the official challenge (last day of November), your team may choose to continue on at your own pace. There will be no points accumulated after November but you can finish any clowns that you didn't get to during the challenge.

Scoring
You will get 3 points for every completed book (9 per completed chain) PLUS page points.

I like going in order - helps me keep track of where we are! Starting at either the top or bottom sounds good; but no preference on which. Or I could put them in alphabetical order.....LOL

Art

Art is a demonic killer clown who is mute and mimes. He only appears on Halloween nights to wreak havoc and torture. He appears in all black & white carrying a black trash bag with various crude weapons. His face is painted pale white, while his eyes, mouth, and eyebrows are painted black. He wears a white bald cap on his head, complete with a small black hat strapped to the top.

Art is extremely dangerous. He slaughters nearly everyone he encounters. He has supernatural abilities and can induce paralyzing fear in his victims. He will chase, stalk, and terrorize his victims. Then he decides whether to sadistically mutilate them or spare their lives, leaving them with the trauma he has inflicted on them. He never speaks but he will mime screams of pain when injured. Art is very theatrical while killing in a very animated and comedic manner. He silently laughs during his sadistic pursuits. When cornered, he does exhibit cowardly tendencies. He will cheat or shoot himself rather than deal with the police. His arrogance does tend to crumble when the odds shift and victims fight back.

Ladies, I'm on my way to one of my grandson's 14th birthday party and won't be back home until around 5:00 (6 hours), so I will start picking books out when I return. I think we can read them out of order, so if one of you is reading a white book, the other is reading a hat book, and I am reading one of those 2 or something else, that's fine as long as we finish all 4 prior to moving on. I think, but I'll check out more carefully after I get home from Jake's birthday party. His brother turned 18 a few days ago and we went out to dinner for his 18th. Too many grands! lol

I finished my books for Art. No rush!! Just wanted to let you know since I've been a little MIA for this first week.

Ladies, switched up one of my books so I could get it on our SS because I needed to save the one I planned to read for later. So our ART CHAIN is finished. Sorry I took so long!

I checked us in and requested Captain Spaulding.

Captain Spaulding

Captain Spaulding earned the nickname "Cutter" for stabbing a man to death. He is the patriarch of the Firefly family but keeps this secret so he can send victims to his family. He runs a gas station in Texas. His biggest sales are his fried chicken and his roadside haunted house attraction known as "Captain Spaulding's Museum of Monsters and Madmen". The museum has many strange exhibits and oddities including the famous Murder Ride. A few incidents happened here at Captain Spaulding's. An attempted robbery occurred at the location but both robbers were killed in the act. Two young couples disappeared after a visit to the museum as well.

I like some horror but not some of the horror that Trisha does. I’m not into Zombies or unrealistic situations. I prefer eerie and psychological thriller or thriller. Although, I do read horror.

By the way, my husband is working in our computer room, putting up some new lights in the ceiling for me. That’s where my Goodreads work is all done. So I will check out both of those books when I check their page counts and see if either fits in better than the other one with Turf Wars.

I’m on my phone since hubby is still working in the computer room. So I’ll just let you know here that I finished Wedding People today, but I won’t be able to make my comments because my husband has sheets all over the room covering up all my book cases and my computer desk. Hopefully he’ll finish tomorrow early afternoon! HOPING!
