going to be off GR for the rest of the day but I just added an overflow book that fits for black cover in case Sleeping Giants doesn't get finished!
Two books left and we will be done! I’m at the airport killing time so at least I can get some reading in.
I’ve finished Cinder! Finally! I feel like it took me forever to read it and I couldn’t wait for it to end.Onto the next one I guess!
That’s the worst when a book becomes a slog to the finish! Glad you knocked it out though.
just finished A Song of Wraiths and Ruin! also made time to go out and buy the sequel this evening :)

Checking in for the first week of March! How is the reading going? We need to be sure we are prioritizing those tough cards, like the colors and reverses. I've found it easy to layer my other challenges into our March cards so far, so a win for us!
It has certainly been quiet, I'm sure we are all busy with life, reading, and other challenges. I'm hoping to get some cozy and quiet reading time this weekend, we'll see!
I was away on a work trip last week, and I left during a big snowstorm and returned to an even worse snowstorm. Yay for the sunny warmth of Phoenix last week! It was awesome to not wear a winter jacket and hat and snow boots. Now I'm back to a foot of fresh snow in Oregon. This winter is dragging on.
Ugh sorry to hear that with the long winter. It's been warming up here this week, we got a long of rain last night.
I’m reading 3 of my books now. The one I’m reading with my son I’ll finish by the end of March. The other two I should finish in the next couple of days. I just got notified that I got the new Simone st. James book in at the library so I’m super excited about that. 😁 I’ll try to find a place to fit it in.
Another Monday in March! Our Mini should be coming semi-soon? Curious what it is this month.

Hey guys! I’ve just checked out the new mini and it’s looking fun! I think Part 2 is going to be hard for me as a non drinker because I literally don’t know any cocktail names beyond Pina Colada😂 might leave that part to the rest of you creative guysIt’s a shame because my current read is called The Rise of Renegade X and it has a lot of superheroes/villains in it with cool names like the Crimson Flash which would make for great cocktail names I’m sure!
Post those things here and we can place it somehow! If your books won’t work for a space in part one, log it in overflow and we can work it in.

We still had about 5 Reverses unclaimed.I looked through books I had reserved in non-special regular cards and found a few to move to Reversed after checking shelves: Prince Caspian, Frostbitten. - On the plus side this frees up easier cards
Jennifer, I have read The Housemaid that you have reserved on Card 3 if you want to move to a Reverse later

I’ve been sick for a couple of weeks, which means I couldn’t finish any books so far. On the bright side, all my feb books can be used for mini. I also looked at the list to check what could be used as reverse.
I have read the starless sea from hand 5 and the murder at the vicarage from hand 7 and pachinko in hand 11.

I have done a lot of rereads this month. Counting only new reads, may be the remaining of the Stillhouse Lake books by Rachel Caine. Those are hard to put down
Oh I read the first two of Stillhouse Lake and liked them, too! Very suspenseful. I need to finish them off.

Erin, I saw you finished several books of mini already. As far as I know you gotta finish them at the earliest on 15th of March so they can be counted for the mini challenge.

I would assume so as long as the dates are different and the reverse used is the date after the other person.

YES! I was lucky the library loan came in already! I have it marked as reading but have not actually started it yet, hope to within next few days, then will change dates to be accurate. I'm horrible about that -- so you will likely finish first, but whichever should work.

Maybe someone else can try checking in case the issue is on my end but maybe it hasn't actually saved your read date
It's on the shelf but oddly the date is now missing, strange. Let me add it in. If I updated from GR App on phone sometimes it ignores datesManually when checking the UNO Shelf, you can have it easier by sorting by title and then it will come up alphabetical order. I have to do that sometimes with huge shelves, this one is up to 59 in between read and planned, ack
The GR app loves to mess with us Erin! It has multiple ways to add in the date and I'm always paranoid it doesn't save it properly when I use itAnyway, this means we've finished our first hand of this month guys🎉

Hey guys I just created my first cocktail for part 2 of the mini challenge and it’s very fun! I Googled a list of cocktail names and then tried to find one to fit with a book I’m planning on starting tonight.I’ve come up with: Thimbletack’s Sweet Revenge which is especially fitting because in the book the character Thimbletack takes revenge on the protagonist and he also really loves honey so his revenge is sweet!
But when I fill in the spreadsheet I’m a bit confused. Does anyone know what I should put down for where it says “word used”? What word are they talking about? And then there’s a bit off to the side to list the names of the cocktails created so should I put my super cool (if I do say so myself) cocktail name there?
