I hate not to be working, and so when my entire department at my old job was cut and everyone laid off, I randomly applied for a state job (because unemployment), I briefly worked for the state in an awful job doing food stamps and welfare. It was not a good fit. It also gave me opinions about things, I didn't know I had! Was not a healthy environment.
