Or the ability to listen to them complain.
Hope you survive your encounter with cold and wet - the last thing any of us need is colds and such.

Wow, that's a lot of precipitation Alicia!

He liked that connection. It was fun bizarrely and we had lunch after and then it was bruv and family’s turn to stay at the family home for the night and we went home.

Glad the internment went well MT, and you got to share some memories.

I slept better than usual last night - got much more done this morning than usual.

Looking at some drums I left out in the open on the 31st October, we've had 18" of rain since then.
And that's probably a minimum as some of our rain came in almost sideways :-)

Wow, that is a lot Jim! And a lot of sideways rain here too! Glad you slept better than usual Alicia and got more done.

Worth a try! I'm down to folk remedies (and waiting for the cure that's being researched for the long covid types) because I don't tolerate many of the prescription meds that are offered. Inconvenient. Cross fingers - I'll be surprised if it works, but one can hope.

Alicia, maybe try magnesium? I have been taking that because it's supposed to help with brain fog and a side benefit was a big reduction in the restless leg shennanagins at night.

I take a LOT of magnesium already, MT - doesn't seem to help. Think I do notice if I DON'T take it. The brain fog is unimpressed - I can see no pattern or correlation. ME/CFS is like that a lot. I used to take extra calcium with the magnesium every day until my doctor got concerned about my blood calcium levels - now I don't.
Micromanaging is such fun - NOT!

I've said this before, but oral magnesium didn't do anything for me, but topical magnesium has helped so much with my bunion pain.

If the tonic water doesn't work (I can measure out specific amounts of it), you and others have suggested the topical version.

I think the gel I use suggests pea size (or at least I hope so, that's what I use!), works on my hips as well as my bunions.

Hope all is well. To my absolute amazement my kickstarter is now at £690 … so that’s £590 more than I dared hope I’d get! Mwahahargh. Everything’s a bit arse about face here, McMini has suddenly announced that he MUST go to see a band next Friday or he’ll die. We had arranged to got to the McInlaws. McMum is very unwell and I want to see her as we are unlikely to be able to visit again until well into June. But now it looks as if we will have to go at a different time to the one we planned, which means a I can’t go to a lunch I planned with my mates 4 months out. I’m so fucked off but McMini in a hissy in Scotland might be a bit worse. Urgh. Part of me wants to just say, look, we’re going on the Thurs, Fri and Sat and you’re fucking coming. Part of me remembers my parents dragging me off on holiday and all my mates stumbling upon a member of one of the biggest pop bands of the time on Cranleigh common and how I spent two weeks in Greece and they spent two weeks hanging out with our fave pop heroes helping them make a song. And part of me feels that because that’s the way my life went, every. fucking. time. I want to spare him the misery of always being in the wrong place, or looking the wrong way when the interesting shit goes down. Sigh.

Ooh, that's a hard dilemma MT!

Great on the kickstarter - apologies for not getting to it yet. Life is unbelievable.
Not sure you should be ruled by the blackmail of the lowering brow of offspring, but he is your one and only, and a little indulgence may be the better choice... Life is unbelievable.

Sounds as if you're managing quite nicely, even when it feels frantic. It is always satisfying when an employee can do that, fill in the breach, and get it done.
Glad you don't have to worry about it until June for now.

I know that we've seen livestock medicines dropped because the weren't worth re-licensing under the EU regulations on this topic (which I think we still have to obey)

I really hope that isn't the case, but suppose if it isn't that popular, it might be hard to justify making it.

It is a potential nightmare. There is an argument that the system should never have been applied to veterinary drugs.

Suppose that is where Lucy's meds are tricky, as they are a human medication, shame the 10mg doesn't come in liquid form.

Glad the job is going well Desley even if the weather is not. 🙂

I believe that why aspirin is becoming ever more rarified, which is weak because it's the only thing that works for me.

Didn't realise there were issues getting hold of Aspirin MT.

Are the tutti fruti brakes the long thin ones? I think we had a pager is those once.
I have noticed that aspirin is really getting difficult to buy although so far alka seltzer is still going.

No, these just looked like standard red grapes.

Also I too have been intrigued with the Costa hot milkshakes but so far haven't tried one. I think you have convinced me not to :-)

The Kickstarter ended at £985 which was a bit of a thing. I ended it at 7 and would have got the full £1k if I'd ended it later. 🤦🏽 We live and learn.

Yeah, think I paid £4.45 for it Jim and wasn't worth it. MT, please speak to the vet about McCat, steroids can't just be stopped in humans, and I'm fairly sure they need tapering down in cats too, or it can cause some side effects, especially if he's been on them for so long. If you try raw food, make sure you do the research so it's balanced enough and won't cause health issues. Great you did so well on the kickstarter.

As for being wet, you could dig a grave with a plastic bucket at the moment the ground is so wet!

Hope everyone is fine. Now I've finished the final draft of my latest novel, I have a little more time to catch up with the wider world.
Off to Cambodia in a few weeks and then retiring from work in 169 days.
Bring on the next phase of this crazy life!

Nice to see you Stuart, enjoy Cambodia, and the countdown to retirement.
