Raine (raine_renner) | 379 comments For Suzanne

Here are your picks! I hope you like them!

Spring cleaning:
1. Love and Lists by Tara Sivec (1/8/14) TBR
This one made me laugh so much I peed my pants, though I think a lot of people did too.

2. Until November by Aurora Rose Reynolds NEW
I love this series. This 1st book and the 4th book (Nico) was awesome!

3. The Bride by Julie Garwood ADDITIONAL PICK
This is a book I read years ago when I was in high school. I loved it and it made me laugh. It is a historical romance set in Scotland.
Love and Lists (Chocoholics, #1) by Tara Sivec Until November (Until, #1) by Aurora Rose Reynolds The Bride (Lairds' Fiancées, #1) by Julie Garwood

Spring into action:
1. Rock Chick Redemption by Kristen Ashley TBR
I love Hank! One of my favorites of this series. Who wouldn't love a hot cop?

2. Diamond Girl by Andrea Smith NEW
Slate is an undercover g-man for a motorcycle club and Sammie is a lonely housewife who takes pole dancing classes and ends up dancing at a gentleman's club. Great story!

3. Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley ADDITIONAL PICK
Another KA pick. This one Tate is a hot bounty hunter. Like Diamond Girl, Laurie starts the story as a frumpy divorcee and is looking for a new start. I love those books where the heroine turns from ugly duckling to swan.
Rock Chick Redemption (Rock Chick, #3) by Kristen Ashley Diamond Girl (G-Man, #1) by Andrea Smith Sweet Dreams (Colorado Mountain, #2) by Kristen Ashley

Spring Fling:
1. Nicholas by Elizabeth Amber TBR
I have not read this one, but it is also on my TBR pile, but I really love the cover.

2. Where I Belong by J. Daniels NEW
This is a great enemies to lover story. Ben is the older annoying brother of Mia's best friend and they have hated each other for years. I love the bickering in this book!

3 Seducing Cinderella by Gina L. Maxwell ADDITIONAL PICK
Reid is an MMA fighter who is injured and is rehabbed by his best friend's younger sister Lucie. Lucie agrees to condition Reid for a big fight if he can give her seduction lessons so she can catch a doctor she's been crushing on.

Nicholas (The Lords of Satyr, #1) by Elizabeth Amber Where I Belong (Alabama Summer, #1) by J. Daniels Seducing Cinderella (Fighting for Love, #1) by Gina L. Maxwell

Spring is in the air & warm weather is around the corner:
1. French Quarter by Lacey Alexander TBR
I have not read this one yet, but it is on my TBR list as well. Menage in New Orleans, sounds yummy!

2. The Golden Dynasty by Kristen Ashley NEW
Circe goes to sleep and wakes in a different world set in the desert. If you can get past how Circe and Dax meet, I think you will love this story. It is the 2nd in the series, but you don't need to read the first one to read this one, though I would suggest reading the first book (and then the rest of the series) eventually.

3. Propositioning Mr. Raine by Laurann Dohner ADDITIONAL PICK
Set in Texas about an older woman and hot, young native american rancher. I noticed that in your profile you also like paranormal books - not sure if you've already checked Ms. Dohner's New Species series.
French Quarter (Hot in the City, #1) by Lacey Alexander The Golden Dynasty (Fantasyland, #2) by Kristen Ashley Propositioning Mr. Raine (Riding the Raines, #1) by Laurann Dohner

I don't think it's possible NOT to love that book! I had so much fun in a college children's lit class reading that book...as well as to so many children I babysat throughout the years! It is still a must-have book I gift to anyone having a baby! Gotta make sure those new libraries are stocked up right the first time! ;)

message 128: by Nancy H (last edited Mar 27, 2015 09:42AM) (new)

Nancy H | 1111 comments Hi Carla Collette,
I LOVED looking through your lists! In fact, we have so many books in common that I felt like I was looking at my own. I could make a list for you of books you should absolutely read next because they are so good - except that that list would have about 100 books on it - lol!! We could have many books discussions about the books on our lists, I think. Here are my picks for you, and if you don't see anything you like, PLEASE tell me and I can give you about a hundred more picks - lol!

Spring cleaning: On your list for more than a year: In Bed with a Highlander and How to Eat a Cupcake (I have this one to read, too, so if you want to do a Buddy Read with it, let me know.)
From my long-time ago list: Dairy Queen - because I noticed that you enjoy some YA fiction
and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn - one of my all-time favorite books!

Spring into action: Action/Suspense: Villa Triste - because I notice you have an interest in WWII (I am also interested in a Buddy Read for this one if you pick it because my copy has been sitting here for a bit waiting to be picked up.)
A Thousand Splendid Suns - lots of action in this one
Series: You are reading some GREAT series, many of the same ones I am doing, so I am just going to recommend continuing with any of these authors: Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, Meg Cabot's Heather Wells series (I think there are two more that you haven't read.), from Alexander McCall Smith, more of the No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency series or any of his other series, and from Alan Bradley, the Flavia de Luce series.

Spring fling: Quick hot romance: Call Me Irresistible Wild, crazy: Bet Me Hot covers: Double Play or Too Hot To Touch

Spring is in the air, warm weather: The Bungalow (again related to WWII plus tropical climate); Must Love Otters (because of your interest in the environment plus a romance); Saving CeeCee Honeycutt(flowers, warm weather, good book); and The French Gardener (flowers, romance, and much more.

I hope you like these and can't wait to hear if you do. (If not, please be honest and I will pick more!)
I apologize for the delay in getting your list done - the mother of one of my best friends passed away yesterday and I had to do some things for her.

In Bed with a Highlander (McCabe Trilogy, #1) by Maya Banks How to Eat a Cupcake by Meg Donohue Dairy Queen (Dairy Queen, #1) by Catherine Gilbert Murdock A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith Villa Triste by Lucretia Grindle A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini Call Me Irresistible (Wynette, Texas #6) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie Double Play (Pacific Heat, #1) by Jill Shalvis Too Hot To Touch (Rising Star Chef, #1) by Louisa Edwards The Bungalow by Sarah Jio Must Love Otters by Eliza Gordon Saving CeeCee Honeycutt by Beth Hoffman The French Gardener by Santa Montefiore

I know that I've looked at your lists (I picked for you at some point) and felt the same way--we have fairly similar tastes, and I note when you like a book! Thanks for the great picks--no worries about the wait I have plenty of time to order, etc. Sorry about your mom. I'm not sure which ones I'll pick, but will let you know soon. In Bed with a Highlander and Dairy Queen are likely picks but it will be hard to choose.

I'm glad you like the picks. And just to clear things up, it was my friend's mom who passed away after a long illness, not mine. (Thankfully.)

These look great!! Thanks. It's going to be tough to choose which one to read first.

~KarenH~ | 11348 comments Ok Raine, here we go! Your TBR shelf is crazy scary...it was next to impossible to find anything that wasn't on it, so most of the new to you picks are on your TBR but by authors that as far as I could tell you've never read. I've given you double picks (2 new and 2 TBR for each) so hopefully something there will look good to you.

1. Spring cleaning:
The Perfect Play (TBR) - Still one of the prettiest covers ever, and I actually like the series a lot, too!
Flat-Out Sexy (TBR) – I Love this series, too.
Exclusively Yours (New) – Fun, funny, and sexy...I'd love to join a Kowalski family vacation someday.
Shaken (New) – So much emotion packed into a very short story

2. Spring into action:
Until Fountain Bridge (TBR) – You liked the first one, maybe it's time to continue the series
Hard as It Gets (TBR) – Love this series...I'm waiting very impatiently for the next installment
Dangerous Grounds (New) – I read this a long time ago, but I remember really liking it.
Naked in Death (New) – This may be totally out of your area of interest, but I think everyone should experience Roarke at least once! ;-)

3. Spring Fling:
Holy Frigging Matrimony: A Tangled Series Short Story (TBR) – Just as much fun as the first book in the series.
Do Over (TBR) – Short and sexy but also so emotional
A Little Night Magic (New) – Cute and fluffy, but definitely fun
After the Kiss (New) – Sexy and funny, the start of a good trilogy

4. Spring is in the air & warm weather is around the corner:
Nauti Boy (TBR) – A long time since I read this, but I liked it
Hot Summer Nights (Bluebonnet, #2.5) (Serendipity, #3.5) (TBR) – I've had this on my TBR since it came out...someday I'm going to get to it!
Holiday Affair (New) – I know nothing about this one, but it looks and sounds fun.
Quinn's Hart (New) – It doesn't look like you've read much m/m but you have several on your shelves, so I took a chance. This is just a lovely, sweet story.

I hope you find something here that works for you...if I messed up somewhere and you need any repicks, just let me know. Happy Reading!

Just an FYI - books have to be read within the month of April for them to count for April challenges. It is so hard to be patient!!
