OK, I'll just be extra cautious from here forward and make sure I don't' do that again. Thanks, Tammie. :)

Sorry I thought I had updated it! Hopefully you got it! I was away all day - if you ever need me urgently tho you can send a message on Goodreads and an email will pop up on my phone

Ahh ok I didn't realize that it couldn't be polka- (I know it can't be polkas, but wasn't sure if the - was the same as a new word if that makes sense).
If it doesn't work then the book also has salsa, so I can use that and use reggae for the other book.
@VickiI might be mistaken...do one of your books work for 'spiritual' or maybe you removed those choices?
I'm wavering on reading for ska...so I might pick up spiritual if it's still available.
When you told me that I had two books for spiritual and two books for folk, I took one off and I was going to use it for the book that I had to remove because I read it too early. I’m not sure which other book it was in, but if you have spiritual then go ahead and use it and if I read my book 1st and I find spiritual, then I will use it. If that makes sense lol.

It's an easier word so thought we should try to take advantage...this goes for anyone on the team too.
I'm back, Tammie :( I don't know why I keep having to pester you. I had forgotten to do my DQ #3 for Violin Conspiracy, so I did them tonight and went to post them but it came up #REF and didn't calculate my points. I read it during round 3 but finished the questions this round. It was listed under round 4 so I changed it to round 3 thinking that might be why, but it didn't make a difference.

Looks like one of our SS goddess's fixed your #REF error :) All good!

Happy Thanksgiving team CLASSICAL!
For those of you who celebrate...and even if you don't...are you doing anything special?...hosting a meal, going to a movie, playing pickleball with friends? What's on your menu for the big day? Anyone do the black Friday thing where you stand in line for hours for a free pumpkin pie deal? Not sure that's still a thing...

So much turkey. I am going to my family's and then later in the evening having some friends over to make the weird dishes none of us feel comfortable making as part of an "offiicial" dinner. Also drinking and laughing about our families.
There is a local crafting show Friday night so my plan is to sleep as late as the dogs allow, eat leftovers, take a nap and then start my Christmas shopping.
I cooked my turkey today...made a pumpkin pie and some cookies. My husband carved up the turkey so that mess is done. My son and daughter+1 are coming over to lunch/turkey dinner. Bringing their dogs which we love. We'll probably watch some TV and drag out a few Christmas decorations.
I'm really not in the mood to shop, but will check out the sales to see if there's anything worth purchasing ahead.
I usually use my left over turkey for a tortilla soup and sandwiches...curious about other ideas for something yummy I might try if any of you feel like sharing.

I only made some deviled eggs and a fruit salad this year. We have a huge variety of foods this year! Turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, ham, mashed potatoes, rice, beans, fruit salad, shaved Brussel sprouts salad, broccoli salad, mimosas, green bean casserole, mac n' cheese, rolls, raspberry white chocolate cheesecake, Oreo pie, chocolate chip cookies, GF brownies, apple pie, peach cobbler, ice cream, drinks, and some of us have signed up for setup and/or cleanup. I think there will be 22 of us there, but it could be more. Those are the for sure ones so it'll be a good time for us for sure.I'll see what others do with leftovers because if there aren't leftovers with that much food, that's bad! lol One of my granddaughter's boyfriends manages one of the Texas Roadhouse restaurants here so he often brings good stuff too. For my last birthday we had entire meals from Texas Roadhouse, including my filet mignon and the rolls I love from there! Yummy! I have to get back on my healthy eating on Friday without a doubt! lol Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it, and those who don't, I hope you also have a wonderfully blessed day. :)
Tammie, assuming you marked my page count for Before She Knew Him, I'm not sure why. It is 323 pages like it's posted. I had the first book marked because Turf Wars requires the first edition, so maybe that's why but I changed it to the Kindle one. Let me know if there's something else I need to fix.

@ALL
If I highlight in the page zone, what you've shelved doesn't match what you put on the SS. I don't highlight if it's just a couple of pages...I think the difference on yours, Vicki was maybe 20 pages?
If I highlight in the captain area, it's not on your shelf (or it wasn't when I checked)
You can remove the highlight once you've corrected
Thanks
Tammie, I think the confusion is in this challenge I have to post the Kindle version; in Turf Wars I have to post the first/top book that pops up. So I actually did read the Kindle version (most of the time I do) and it was 323 pages. I moved the one shelved to that version so the page count matches. I will let you fix the highlighted part after you've checked it to make sure all is well.

fyi...I usually don't call anything out unless it makes a huge difference on points.
Vicki wrote: "I only made some deviled eggs and a fruit salad this year. We have a huge variety of foods this year! Turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, ham, mashed potatoes, rice, beans, fruit salad, shave..."That is a lot of different foods! Wow!
Sounds like it was a great time :)
Here in Canada our Thanksgiving was in October. I did have a nice little dinner of homemade curry and baked a pie.
Tammie wrote: "Vicki wrote: "I only made some deviled eggs and a fruit salad this year. We have a huge variety of foods this year! Turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, ham, mashed potatoes, rice, beans, frui..."It was a lot of fun. I only had my 3 daughters, and 10 of my 22 grandkids there. I think the last time MOST of us were all together was summer 2020. It's almost impossible to get everyone there at the same time with all the different work schedules. But we still had a lot of family, both my sons-in-law, my granddaughters' boyfriends, and more. But I do miss my sons not being there. One is in Oregon and one in Southern California.
I am so ready to get going on some new books. I kind of took a break yesterday from reading since I had one of my 21 year old grandsons spending the night with us. So I am about ready to read now, but I don't know what I want to read. lol
I'm finishing my chunkster...Iron Flame...should finish by tomorrow morning. I've got a few designated to wrap up this months challenges...want to finish my AMMP Packing Challenge and I've got a couple yearly's over at RRRC that need to be wrapped up as well...thankfully there's not a lot.
I want to make time for The Love of my Life...someone told me that one is super good.
I reserved the next BOM...5 week wait. I got lucky with Starter Villain and got a 'jump the line' book...fingers crossed I'll get it in time for our final round.
I just took a gander at the SS...looks like I's and O's could use a boost if anyone needs specifics. If they could also work for D just in case, that would be good too :)
I have been looking for books with i's and o's. Found 2 so far, but already had just added those. I still need another one that I'm hoping to find to work for this and another challenge.
SS Maintenance...@Vicki...not on your shelf: The Things They Carried, I Was Born for This
@Cindy...on your shelf, but missing from SS: Dead to the World
@Jax...The Excalibur Curse...?what does this work for
Vicki wrote: "Tammie, both books show they’re shelved to wheels 8 so I don’t know why they didn’t show for you."It’s probably because I’m blind when I’m tired :)
Thanks Vicki

This round is flying by. 5-1/2 days to go!
We'll start our final Round 5 on Saturday.
I'll post our team timer when we're close to the end...thanks everyone for keeping things smooth and up-to-date! We're doing great :)
@RebeccaYour book Neutral Zone had a checked box for our bonus...I removed it because there was nothing posted with it. If it works for something, please do populate as we need one more.
Thanks
New BOM starts 12/2...here's the sign up for completing DQ's if you are interested :)

Whoops I think that was a mistake, thanks
Sorry team.. Work has been hell these days so I had to remove some books that I've planned to read. I don't think I can finish them all in 4 days. I'll make sure to finish my book that has "polka" in it :)

Don't worry Elli! We'll move things around a bit if needed.
Do we know the rule on Box Sets? Do we count as one big book or do we count as the individuals, if they are available that way too?
MN Lisa wrote: "Do we know the rule on Box Sets? Do we count as one big book or do we count as the individuals, if they are available that way too?"I don't see a 'box-set-rule' for this challenge...I believe the philosophy is that any book counts as long as it meets the minimum requirements...no poetry, cookbooks, etc.
If it can be broke up, I'd encourage that, but if not...just record as one big book :) Happy reading!

Ok. I'm reading a box set for another challenge cause I need the page count, but I also have each book individually as an Audio book and wondering how to document for this one. Looks like I will get 4 more books done :)

Perfect...nice work! We're lower this round on # of books...so this helps us out.
I promise I'm still alive. I picked up a second day working at my part time job for the rest of the fall semester for extra money (have around $7300 in student loans left), which means I'm working 7 days a week for now so I've had less time to read and be on Goodreads.

I still remember the account number for my student loans...that was 40 years ago...it can be a struggle trying to get those behind you.
It's so nice to see to the end of my student loans. I started out with $32,000 10 years ago. They should be under $6,000 by the end of the year and I should get them paid off in 2024.
Good luck, Natasha. You can see the light at the end of the tunnel now, and you’ve done a good job paying off a big loan!! I was very blessed when I was a junior in college, and I applied for a loan assumption where they paid half of my loan off. I was the only one to get that. I was surprised because I had to write an essay for it. I had to work three years in a low income school district and they paid off a portion each of those three years. A huge blessing!

The instruments have been gathered, genres played, bands formed, and world tours commenced. Now it's time to read the stories, fact and fiction of the musicians.
Read books written by or about musicians. This could be non-fiction about a musician or band; or it could be fiction - in which case the main character(s) should be a professional musician (or aspiring). Someone who plays an instrument for personal pleasure only doesn't count.
Each book read will earn an additional 5 bonus points and a maximum of 10 bonuses.
🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼Team Classical! Our final round has been announced :)
We're back to more creative guidelines :)
As we did in our previous Rounds, let's get our Bonus tasks done 1st.
We've drawn Jazz Clarinet for our word...how many Z's are there out there? Probably more than we realize. Please do share ideas and sources as you find them. I'll see what I can dig up too.
Our color for this Round is the lovely shade of purple...we'll need 5 books.
🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼
Please mark your calendars as needed and plan to check in close to the end of round 5.
For those that read MM Romance....A.F. Zoelle
Ariella Zoelle
Cari Z.
I'll be looking to add a few to my TBR for the next few weeks. i could probably commit to at least 6.
