I am so thrilled that all of our cities have been claimed! Only 1 more black cover left too...THANK YOU! And the U's...woohoo!

@ALL...you may have noticed the announcement for changes to the Round 2 bonus. Because we are in the top 4, we are not affected by this change...this gives other teams a chance to catch up a bit.

I might need to back out of BOM. I have looked at my class load starting next week and I am going to be swamped. I can answer questions but I don't know if I will have the mental facilities to come up with them.

I'm bummed because I read The Violin Conspiracy in June 2022, but I'll re-read it for the points. I did really like it though, so that's good. And I am on a 9 week wait list for Starter Villain so I'll probably get it on audio which I don't mind, but I prefer having the hardcopy or ebook too and not just the audiobook. Hopefully it works out. But I am 37th in line of 159 people waiting. lol

Relieved the book is good...I was the nominator and that's always a bit stressful on how everyone will like it.

I've got a similar waitlist for SV Vicki. Sometimes I get a 'skip the line' spot...crossing fingers it comes in. I really hate to buy books especially in genres I know I won't read...that's where I draw my line. Not sure about this one...it's probably good though as there is such a long line.

Finished The Last Rose of Shanghai. Always good when you read a new author and end of enjoying it. On to the The Lady Brewer of London which is fairly long so I probably won't have any more to add in the next week unless I finished something for work.

I've been working on wrapping up my October challenges...still have a few more I want to get done before month end:)
Raining and kinda cold here in St. Louis...quite the change from the 80s last week...I think our low tonight is 30...yikes...there goes the flowers!

I have a couple books I need to add to the spreadsheet and I should be able to fit in atleast 1-2 maybe even 3 more hopefully before deadline.

It’s been cold here, was snowing yesterday and today with a high of 30. Super cold.

We have a couple more days before we start tightening things up...last round we read for 123 lines on the SS...I know we're all doing this...but try to keep track of as many back ups as possible. I see a few spots have opened up at the top too...let's fill those in as we move along these next couple of days.

My 'skip the line' loan for Starter Villain just showed up today...I'm going to try and finish it by the end of this round.

For this round, find musical instruments on the cover of your books (any instrument, just has to be obviously an instrument)

Each found instrument will earn an additional 5 bonus points. Only one instrument per book cover and a maximum of 10 bonus instruments. You can find the same instrument multiple times (not least because no one's got time to decide if it's a violin or viola etc etc)

I swapped out Castle with Ex Hex because there's a character in Castle with a U name. Both will be done by Saturday AM
