I think I've been doing one thing wrong. I've added a couple/few translators for the books that had them listed, but as I think about it I can't add them unless I read that translation, right? I've read all my books in English and that's the only language I speak. lol

You’re correct…use those options that apply to the version you are reading.

I’ve been doing some checking of books…part of out duties as captains…a few things I’ve noticed

1- page numbers should be for the version you shelve, Exception is for BOM…these have a standard page count that’s posted in the BOM thread
2- please be sure to indicate your finish date on your shelf…this should match what’s on our spreadsheet. I’ve made quite a few chgs for this
3- be sure to put all finished books on your wheel shelf

Tammie, I get a little confused about shelving when Turf Wars requires the page count of what first comes up when you type in the book and you (Wheels) requires edition I read. I will go back through myself and make sure I have the editions I read page counts. You shouldn’t have to do that!

I fixed all of my books to the edition I read which were mostly all Kindles. Lost some points and gained some points. lol But mine are all okay now. I will make sure my dates read are correct tomorrow because I have to get up at 4:30 to watch my grandkids tomorrow so I need to get to bed. I'm pretty sure my dates are all good but we're only human so I know mistakes are made, so tomorrow I'll post when I've double checked my dates.

We're at 4 days to go until the end of the round! We'll have a Round 2 SS up just as soon as the next round is announced.

I'll ask that we all evaluate what we currently have on Round 1's WSS...if you won't finish by the end of the round, please remove your books so we can make adjustments if needed before populating our Primary Team Sheet. I know I'll get a few more in, so I can help fill in a few spots if needed. I'm sure there are others with the same.

Remember books not finished since the start of the challenge can be carried over if needed to the next round.

FYI...If we moved our current books we would be in 2nd place :) It's too soon to celebrate as there are quite a few teams (like us) that haven't populated anything...but we're doing well...nice job everyone!

Thank youuu! I did it AND I'm back to work today (my husband is with the sick kiddo and she's starting to be on the mend) so I'm about to finish my audiobook yipee!

Finished one today and will finish the other two by Friday - hopefully one tomorrow and one Friday. Added my first two rounds of BOM questions as well. That was one creepy book. Much more so than the other one of his I had read.

For those interested in future BOM...I think my nomination for won for 'theme' book next month. I'm not sure if it'll be the first or second, but recommend putting in on hold at the library as it took me a couple of weeks to get it. If so...yeah!...extra points for us :)

I have a BLACK book (63.7% per TinEye) that I plan to read but it's only 108 pages. Should I use that one? Does the page count matter as long as it fits the page requirements?

@Vicki...any page count 100+ is fine. You'll notice I had a 100 pager this last round and there is no minimum special anything for our bonus points either :)

I found a black cover on my shelf for next round. It is a CHONK. I didn't know I had a 1006 page copy of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. It will be a good read for Halloween.

Because of your Captains schedules, I'm going to ask that we all finish this round 4 hours prior to the official timer running out.
I've inquired if there's a grace period for checking in, but at this moment there is not and Lisa and I both have serious conflicts tomorrow...so for this round only...we'll end at 4 hours to go :)

Please be sure your books are on your shelves with finished dates.
Do me a favor, and reconcile to be sure all your books are on the SS as well :)

If we need to move your book from where you entered it to somewhere else to complete a word. We only need the names, etc for what works for the word of the round.

I have books for U, but I have put Lucas and Andrei in the characters because they also work for L and A in Electric Guitar.
