Option 1

Rating: 4 stars
Review: Not a ton of plot here, but then you can't really expect anything too in depth in just over 100 pages! There were actually two separate stories included in that 100 pages, the first was the beginning of Nick & Kelly's romantic/sexual relationship while Kelly was recovering from a serious injury. The second was after they'd been separated for a whle (and Kelly was completely recovered), and solidified the relationship. I loved seeing Nick and Kelly together, and look forward to more!

If all else fails, fall back on Eve and Roarke! 😁

Option 2

Chaos in Death - 4 stars - Well, that was certainly different then other Eve & Roarke books! Even though the mystery was short and a little unbelievable, all the characters were there and, as usual, their interactions are what makes this series what it is. Loved it.

Week 3 - Option 1
Green and brown on cover
Slow Pitch by Amy Lane
Pages: 202
Fits:

Read date - 15.10.2023
Rating - 4.5 stars
Review - This is my second reread of this sweet romance and I had a great time. Loved the ferocious Tenner who carries a massive ton of guilt and baggage. Ross is so sweet to Tenner and I liked the cautious development of their relationship with all that care and patience. Seeing Tenner freed from his woes was totally satisfying .
Sweet romance with lots of humor and some angst, though not too heavy .

Him by Sarina Bowen

Pages: 361 pgs/GR
How it Qualifies: #17 on the Gay Romance With a Straight Hero list

Him by Sarina Bowen

Pages: 361 pgs/GR
Read: Oct-18
Rating: 5 stars
I devoured this book. It was everything I love in a M/M story. GFY, a little angsty-drama, some sports (even if it was hockey!), hot sex, romance, and a perfect HEA. I so needed this book right now! Jamie and Wes were friends every summer at hockey camp until a bet changed everything and Wes cut off all contact. Their senior year in college, both of their teams make the Frozen Four and they are reunited. From there, it is all heat, even on the ice. I loved the box!

Review - Liked this a lot. Romance with humor , strong characters with great chemistry and a happy ending! Angst is on the medium side and Whit helps Rainn heal his past woes. The writing is upbeat and I liked this author's humor sense!

No worries! It's always best to stay current whenever possible, but there's still lots of time left to get caught up before the end of the challenge. 😃

Rereading this cements it as one of my favorite series and hottest reads of all-time. I love the Sinners and All I can say is HOLY HELL!!!!! Wow.... I will never look at a jacuzzi the same way again. And there are so many laugh out loud moments interspersed with the flaming hot sex scenes. Sinners’ guitarist Master Sinclair is a hopeless romantic at heart and Myrna is still healing from her past relationship. But together, they make beautiful music.

Page count: - 397 pages
How book qualifies: Page count is over 300.

Option 1

Rating: 4 stars
Review: Another fun romp with Felix and Lane! Although this was probably my least favorite, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. The banter between these two is incredible, and really makes the actual plot secondary. I listened to the audio version, and as always Joel Leslie's narration was wonderful!

Option 1

Ghost Story 481 pgs"
Hey Breann!
Even though it's pretty obvious, will you please add a qualification line to your post? Just needs to say that the page count is over 300. Thanks!

Option 1
Read a book longer than 300 pages.
Aftermath by L.A. Witt
336 pages
Read date - 20.10.2023
Rating - 4 stars
A hockey star at his peak forced to retire after an accident causing him multiple fractures. Brent is in chronic pain and looking toward long term physio and pain meds. On top of that, his sexual life is also on the damaged list. Enter Jon, a single dad and singer who has his own baggage changes Brent's life.
The portrayal of the aftermath of an injured athlete is really good and felt authentic. I liked the support offered by their relationship and the positive outcome for both.

Option 1

The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix
Date Read: 10/24
Rating: 4 stars
Review: The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires is a thriller horror story about wives in an old village who met every week to read a certain book. (How delightful it is to be in a Book Club in their age and busy life) who encountered an unbelievable and unique experience in the world as they came face to face to a notorious vampire who targets children in their village.
A well written book with good storyline. Loved the characters even though I hated all the husbands in this book lol. It's pretty interesting it may be like other book's concepts but different in its own way

You can change your book up until the next task is announced. After that you're stuck with what you've got. Same thing applies for passes...you can only request a pass for the current week, not previous weeks.

Okay thanks! I thought so! Okay in that case I'll change my selection now :) I'm picking up something shorter this weekend

I'm juggling this challenge and TART, too. 😁 I could use the book I'm currently listening to for TART here also, using option 2, but I like to try to use the main task as much as possible. I'm going to hold off on posting my selection for a bit to see if I can find something for a later TART task that fits both challenges. If not I'll go ahead and go with Option 2 again.
