Week 8 - Completion Post
The Lion's Lady - 11/11 - 5 stars - I loved this so much! I always enjoy Julie Garwood, but this might be my favorite of hers. There was just the right amount of humor and the H/h chemistry was off the charts.
Completion Post: Week 8The Ballad of Crow & Sparrow by V.L. Locey
Read: Nov-15
Rating: 4 stars
This is a beautiful and occasionally tragic story set in the historic West. Crow is still a boy when his father dies and leaves alone. From there, his life begins to change drastically when he saves the life of a stranger. This is a sweeping epic that takes us through his life and to the second great chapter when he meets his Sparrow. Spencer is just as much a lost soul as Crow is, no matter how rich he is. They’re so beautiful together. I love this story, even though it really doesn’t shy away from the reality of the era.

Saving GraceRating: 5 stars
Review: This was just as much fun as a reread (relisten) as it was the first time around! The heroine is feisty, smart, and wiser than her years, and the hero is gruff on the outside but with a soft heart. Add in a bit of danger and intrigue including bribery and threats from the King of England of all people, and top it off by a few surprises and you have a great way to spend a lazy afternoon/evening...especially when masterfully narrated by the wonderful Rosalyn Landor.

Review- What a beautiful story. No wonder this got the Lambda Award for best Romance!
We follow the lives of Arty and Jim since the moment they met in a dance hall during the second world war. Despite the chaos around them, love blossoms between these two , with help from friends. We see the dire issues they had to face when their love was a crime in the face of law. But their love prevails and in the end, equality is earned.

Tic-Tac-MistletoeRating: 4 stars
Review: N.R. Walker does such great heartwarming, fun stories, and this was no exception. Hamish and Ren were so sweet, both individually and especially together, and I'm a sucker for almost any book with a great animal character! This was a reread (relisten) and I'm sure it won't be the last time I listen to it. I have the next 2 books in the series ready to go soon! The audio was very well narrated by Glen Lloyd.

I absolutely loved how sweet and uncomplicated this story was. It was just an easy story about two men from different worlds meeting and falling in love with no drama, the perfect Christmas story.

Review: This is my least favourite Hazelwood book so far :( I didn't like either of the characters, but I did like the book taking place over a few months so we really got their relationship buildup. Also is Liam ACE?? I seriously appreciate that nod more than anything
