Thx!!!! Sending cooling thoughts....to everyone! Here in Boston(not that anyone cares but...) the heat has been "normalish" but the humidity has been off the charts. Next week is supposed to fantastic(ship up to Boston!)! Naturally, a Civil War Symposium I've been looking forward to is in boiling boiling VA is next weekend.

The symposium sounds incredible, but yeah, heat and humidity are no fun.

Yes but it was very close at the end of the weekend. Definitely wanted to jump into an ice bucket 🪣. And in the"travel adventure" returning witnessed some lousy behavior and some first rate kindness.

Thanks!!!! It was okish. Loved the concept and the locations. While I don't usually comment about the writing (knowing 0.0 about that art myself)....the last half of the book wasn't all that"enjoyable" to read. Might be the heat recovery affecting my tiny little reading brain cell. 3.0

Three! Way to go, Katja!
Three! Way to go, Katja!

It is a charming and gentle read and will read the second part, maybe this month. It read a little more "Austen" than many books do which I particularly appreciated.

I finished my book for the challenge, Doubt Not Cousin, earlier this week. Wow, that was fabulous! Thanks for picking it, Sam.

Here's how it will work:
Sophia will match people up and leave a comment with a list of who will choose for whom.
When you see the person you are to pick for, then just look at their list in the above comments and leave a new comment with their name and the book you chose for them by July 31st.
You also need to watch and see what book your person chose from your list for you.
You have the rest of the month to read the book.
So if this sounds like something you would like to do, just comment below leaving your name and list of book choices for someone to pick your August book.
