I considered writing a new edition to expand her role but decided instead on writing a companion to my original. Miss Georgiana Darcy of Pemberley runs parallel, telling the story from Georgiana’s point of view this time. The two novels are complimentary – one book filling in the “off-camera” scenes of the other and the thoughts hidden from view. I trust that together they supply a richer reading experience than either one alone. (less)

“Missing Scene” from Persuasion: the Croft’s Anniversary

I have a warm spot in my heart for Admiral and Mrs. Croft, especially after developing their relationship through their counterparts in The Persuasion of Miss Jane Austen. (According to my premise in that book, Jane Austen modeled the fictitious Admiral and Mrs. Croft after a real-life couple by the name of Crowe, of whom she thought very highly.)

This is a “missing scene” about the Crofts that

Shannon Winslow Trish wrote: "whats coming up next?"
I've got some ideas cooking, Trish, but nothing actually underway yet. I promised myself I wouldn't start writing another book until I finished sorting through my parents' house - a massive undertaking, but I'm just about done! How would you feel about a bit of a time travel story? - a JA fan who gets the chance to travel back to live her life in Regency times. She pictures herself another Lizzy Bennet, but of course things don't go exactly as she imagines. I hope it will be a bridge book to one I wrote some time ago called First of Second Chances. You can read about that one at my website/blog www.shannonwinslow.com. The plan would be to publish the two together. I would also like to put together an anthology about Mr. Collins. Then I have in mind a book about the Gardiners. That will keep me busy for a while!

Patricia whats coming up next?

Shannon Winslow My pleasure, Sophia! I'd be delighted to have you read them and I hope you enjoy them. They are my "darling children" - all different, but loved equally!

Sophia Thanks for accepting my friend request, Shannon!
