Thank you Wobbley. My list is so full now, when I tried to come up with an nomination I just couldn't think of one.

I don't usually read plays but I'll make an exception for Wilde. I've read most of the others.

You are right!
I will nominate The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas, last read in 2017.

One reason to tell members why a post was deleted, could be to educate them to become betters members in the future. If posts are deleted in silence it can be hard to know why.
Okay, J_Blueflower, I will explain. This thread is for nominations, not lists of potential nominations or seconds. When you make lists, you confuse the procedure for others. The delete was not a big deal, it was to keep the thread clean and make it easier for everyone, including moderators who are trying to add nominations and seconds as they are posted. It was an off-topic post. What if everyone posted a list of everything they were willing to second? Please consider this when you are using the nominations threads.

I second A Clockwork Orange

I think Blueflower was just suggesting some potential nominations that she would like to read. At least that's the way I interpreted the post.

Yes, exactly. Was not intended to be spam, porn or extremely offensive material (eg Pro-Nazi, etc).

Hello, sorry I was missing a bit. I had a surprise (emergency) surgery - Gallbladder. It really was a surprise. I thought I just had a bad stomach virus I couldn't shake. Things are much better now, but I have been taking things very slowly. Thanks to all who kept the thread going while I was sleeping - literally.
Please let me know of any corrections or changes I should make.

4. One nomination and one second per member will be allowed. A nomination can be changed only until it has been seconded. Once seconded, in fairness to the member making the second, the nomination will stand.
You may change a second from one book to another. Please state which book you originally seconded and which you would like to change to.
5. In the interest of variety, please wait a month or more to renominate a book that has been in the poll. These are the books from our last poll:

May Agnes Grey by Anne Brontë (1847), 251 pages , last read March 2016

Nominations will run from June 1st thru the 14th. Polls will open on the 16th and run till the end of the month.
