Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas. The plot was intriguing, and because od the hype I was really looking forward to reading it, but I couldn't find a single likable character or connect with any of them. Also the written style bugged me for some reason. DNF at 46 %
These Violent Delights - I couldn't get past the Romeo and Juliet aspect, could not get into the book
A court of thorns and roses, not because I didn’t like it I wasn’t looking for that type of book to read at that moment so I left it for some other time. will probably start it after I finish the book i’m currently reading!
lola wrote: "archer's voice i literally couldn't get over the writing"can we add any type of books on here, that we are still reading?
Pride and Prejudice, in the beginning it was a bit boring but I expected it would get better. But it didn't, so I stopped reading!

the last one I DNFed was Not here to be liked, I loved the beginning of the story but then the plot itself became so boring that I just couldn't push myself to read it and the only thing in it was about feminism and not about what it was supposed to be.
I almost did not finish Mark Twain's "Roughing It." Just a bunch of stuff about him and mostly pretty dull. I finished it only because I was reading the book for a book club.Robert Drews

Invisible Darkness. its a true crime book about paul bernardo and karla homolka but oh my god its a friggin drag. so much useless information that doesnt tie into anything those two did, or what happened to their poor victims. i kid you not for like 3 pages straight the author talked about how in cananda mcdonalds used to have pizza and karla and paul would order out from there often
right now it’s Billy Summers by Stephen king. I have put it down and just have found no desire to pick it up again. Maybe some day I will but not right now
Interesting. A number of the books described above I liked a lot. Just goes to show the beauty of books; they're for some people but not for others. I'm in a book club where this frequently happens, some give a book five stars, others give it a two. Robert Drews

The ONLY book I DNF, was the light we lost. I tried so hard to like it but I don’t know what it is it was just terribly boring. Now I absolutely hate not finishing books however I find it had no real plot and was just very predictable. Though I’m about half way through so I might just suffer through and keep reading
I am gonna read Never Never by Coho soon (it’s currently on the endless tbr ha) what was bad about it ?
The book I dnf’d and got the farthest in was Shatter Me. It was so slow, and I just couldn’t get through it.
Hunting Adeline. Yes, the first book was also very questionable, but this one was on a whole different level and not enjoyable in the slightest. Every time I see someone on booktok recommend this book, I am shocked.
the invisible life of addie larue. i got to p.120 and i got tired of the vibes no plot, even tho i knew it was that before going into, i jsut didn't think there was going to be this little plot by p.120; like all we had settled by then was the curse and its effects, we met henry once and the shadow god came to visit her in paris soon after. i couldnt bare another page. should have been 200 pages max
Haunting Adeline because
well
raping your love interest while supposedly fighting sex Trafficking is never OK
I didn't finish A Court Of Thorns And Roses. I got half way through and was so BORED. It was like reading one of the "better" Wattpad books, you know, the ones that cost money? Frankly, that just wasn't good enough for me. It was too predictable, I didn't connect with the main character or the love interest, him sending her away and almost her entire family believing the dumb story they were told so they don't ask any question was just so uninteresting to me.
Zehraa wrote: "You’ve reached same , it was just so obvious and pointless 🫠"agreed! i finished it a couple of days ago, and honestly was a waste of good reading time... i couldnt understand the hype because it was sooo predictable, and julie was just not a lovable character hahaha. sorry booktok :)
It ends with us. Collen hover umm... it was just not the right book for me. Dont get me wrong I love romance but it was just overhyped and idk got kinda bored with it.
Age of Vice. Seemed long, lots of character point of views that just didn't seem to connect . I just couldn't get into it. I used to keep pushing through even though a book wasnt working for me, but my TBR pile is too long and life is too short. So now I just move on
As for why, they were both sooo slow and nothing was happening ( also chapters in The secret history were too long and I hate long chapters)
Hello! I started to read SIN BIN by anastija white and I couldn't finish it, actually I even couldn't reach the half of it. Have any of you read it?
it starts with us. idrk why, i guess i just wasn’t enthusiastic about it and found better things to read
