Nice to finally win a week but not expecting that to continue. Swans were excellent on a very wet Saturday evening in Sydney. I had forgotten how hard it rains when it does rain up there. Just need them to beat our bogey team the suns this Saturday. Fail and finals chance will certainly be over for this season. Sorry. Sussex beat me on the margin by 3. Cannot believe I tipped the Eagles again but felt they were performing far better and Fremantle have been all over the show. Result they lost by a 101. Otherwise would have had perfect 9. My good form Val has come far too late like the Swans I fear. Huge game in Adelaide this weekend. Bombers also big game at the Giants.My tips as follows

My tips:Lions x 11 (it seems wrong to tip against Collingwood this season but they have a host of injuries and can afford to drop one game. The Lions need to win to ensure a home final and to show they can win in Melbourne.)

Blues (Suns have acquitted themselves well this season but the Blues are on an unbelievable winning streak)
Giants (yet again the Dons need this one but the Giants are playing better than them)
Cats (I dithered over this. Cats regain Tom Hawkins but lose their ruck Stanley, plus Gary Rohan and Brandan Parfitt. But I still think the Cats are bigger and stronger, just need to match Rowan Marshall in the ruck)

Well I was out yesterday afternoon and watching the World Cup last night so I missed all the excitement. Carlton's come from behind win was a great result for them but good on the Suns for taking it up to them. The Bombers game - least said best forgotten (to mix my metaphors) but at least Duke is guaranteed to win some dosh. And as for the final quarter of the Crows/Swans game - terrible mistake, particularly as it ends the Crows' season - but Tim will be recovering from the heart-stopping finale.

I was in Brisbane at our friends birthday and missed all the action. I have still not seen the final moment but feel ashamed we made the finals and put the Crows out on what was so obviously a grave error. Cannot believe we made finals with a week to spare. About 8 games out The Age ( our main paper in Melbourne for all the Brits ) worked out all results to calculate who would be in the finals. I remember they only gave the Swans 2 wins, and one of them they got wrong, so basically they gave us no chance and a 15th or 16th position finish. I think that is 6 victories on the bounce now albeit they should not have won Saturday.Yes on form at moment but a bit late to start now. Surely can be excused for not tipping the Eagles but I did tip the Bombers. Sorry Val, I must have jinxed them and did not see that score coming.
