I'm starting out May with the historical
Murder on the Home Front by Jessica Ellicott https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Another fun new release today -
#TagMe for Murder by Sarah E. Burr https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Jussi Adler-Olsen's novel Mercy is also known as The Keeper of Lost Causes. Police prefer to think of them as cold cases, and Danish detective Carl Mørck has been 'promoted' to the basement to reheat them.
4★ My review of Mercy
Starting out the week with
Silence is Golden by Penny Warner https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished Murder Through the English Post
by Jessica Ellicott. Set in 1920 England. Book six in the series. Love this series of two independant women sharing a house and advantures after WWI. Set in England. Start with book 1.
Last night, I finished the most wonderful book: Colleen Hoover's It Ends with Us ... I've begun listening to the sequel this AM, while driving Mr Gibbs and George to their groomer.https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
Finishing off the week with the historical mystery
If I Had a Hammer by Teresa Trent https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished 'One step too far' by Lisa Gardner this morning https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5... Here is my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The new book on my bed side table is 'I am wrath' by Ethan Cross : https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Starting off the week with a fun historical mystery -
A Novel Disguise by Samantha Larsen https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I’ve just today finished Trust Me by T.M. Logan and honestly it’s a brilliant book, however the plot got slightly confusing in the last half. Overall though, a gripping read!
The Marylebone Drop by Mick HerronA little op within the MI5 / Slough House misfits. John Bachelor seemed like a more sad sack character than before. Well narrated and a clever story but not very humorous. But still it was appreciated for the backdrop of the Snow White ops and Lech's story.

Conspirators on the Dark Web don't need someone to have an internet presence in order to target them. In Aussie author Ashley Kalagian-Blunt's unsettling new book, Dark Mode, anyone is fair game - game as in being hunted for sport. Watch yourself!
4★ My review of Dark Mode
Identity by Nora Roberts 4-StarsA Psychopath Identity Thief is Set on Murder
My Review
The Family Game by Catherine Steadman 4-StarsDysfunctional is a mild term for this family.
My Review
Poppy Harmon and the Shooting Star byLee Hollis 3 1/2-StarsA made for television script masquerading as real life.
My Review
I am reading The White Lady
by Jacqueline Winspear. This book is not in the Maisie Dobbs series, but a stand alone. Set in 1947 England and flashes back to WWI and WWII. Only about a third in but strong characters and solid writing so far.
Next up for me this week is
Murder at the Marina by Janet Finsilver https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I am reading No Game For a Dame
by M. Ruth Myers. Set in 1930 Dayton, Ohio. Lots of older terms you do not hear anymore like Dames, Gams. We must remember it is historical setting. I am enjoying a trip back to the 1930s. Very different times for women. This book is the first in the series.
A Rising Man by Abir Mukherjee will get started early next week. Too much going on this weekend with family to begin before then. A Rising Man
