The House on Biscayne Bay by Chanel Cleeton | read by Caroline Hewitt & Frankie Corzo | Review
Gorgeous Miami setting and a nice mystery early 20th century.
The Ink Black Heart by Robert Galbraith | read by Robert Glenister | Review
What an ending, Heart stopping! Masterfully done.
The Force by Don Winslow | read by Dion Graham | Review
The language, the cadence are true to the city - beautiful and brilliantly written.

I'm glad. I love her Irish mysteries.

I’ve read all up to #19! This is my favorite series and now I’m going to get What Cannot Be Said!👏🏻📕

They really are a cut above other stories of that kind, aren't they?!

Kelsey is bubbly when they move into their new (to them) house, but Lauren is freaking out about being watched from The Other Side of the Road. I enjoyed thriller writer Andrea Bartz's suspenseful story and the ending I didn't expect.

Both are about women in the desert in very different, life-threatening circumstances. Deserts lend themselves to mystery, I think. One woman is a crook, while one is a tattooist.
This one is the crook:

A Trace of Death (Book #1)
A Trace of Murder (Book #2)
A Trace of Vice (Book #3)
A Trace of Crime (Book #4)
A Trace of Hope (Book #5)
Some minor nagging errors in spelling, etc. The series' main character is stereotypically flawed but sees themselves as always doing what's necessary for the greater good. Somewhat predictable but good escapist storytelling overall.
Currently listening to the audiobook version of Forever and Ever, Amen: A Memoir of Music, Faith, and Braving the Storms of Life by Randy Travis with Ken Abraham.
Also reading Murder in the Manor (A Lacey Doyle Cozy Mystery #1) by Fiona Grace.
