Colin Conway is the author The Cozy Up series which pushes the envelope of the cozy genre. Libby Klein, author of the Poppy McAllister series, says Cozy Up to Death is “Not your grandma’s cozy.”

He is also the creator of The 509 Crime Stories, a series of novels set in Eastern Washington with revolving lead characters. They are standalone tales and can be read in any order.

Colin co-authored The Charlie-316 series. The first novel in the series, Charlie-316, is a political/crime thriller that has been described as “riveting and compulsively readable,” “the real deal,” and “the ultimate ride-along.”

He served in the U.S. Army and later was an officer of the Spokane Police Department. He's owned a laundromat, invested in a bar, and ran a karate

Hi Rich -

Thank you for the question. The series will keep going. I'm preparing for the sixth book to come out in early 2021. It will be the second Dallas Nash novel (the follow-up to THE LONG COLD WINTER).

Then I have two short story collections set in the 509. Many of the stories will feature appearances by characters from the novels. Some stories will just be to set the tone of the 509.

In May, an anthology will come out featuring other authors setting their short stories in the heart of the 509. Those stories will have cameo appearances from some the big name 509 characters. I'm editing that collection now and excited for that to come out.

After all of that, there are two new series that are set parallel to the 509 universe. One series features an amateur sleuth set in 2004 (about fifteen years prior to the 509). The second series features a former deputy set at the same time as the 509 series. These amateur sleuths will cross over with officers of the 509 (the earlier character will obviously meet the officers when they are younger in their career).

Then it's back to the keyboard as I have several other 509 stories outlined. That's a lot of words to say the 509 will live on far beyond book six.

Thanks for the question and thank you for reading!

Do You Hear What I Hear?

I love music.

Hang around me for any length of time, and you’ll probably discover that my favorite genre is hard rock. It seeps into the way I talk, the way I dress, and the way I connect with others. While some in my age bracket (a slacker wave to those in Generation X) might be embarrassed to say they’re still metalheads, I’m not.

Even though I like everything from early Black Sabbath
