This very short, gentle story shows how two cultures bond over an old Native American. The Man to Send Rain Clouds by Leslie Marmon Silko is free online and I loved it.

9th in the Book Retreat Mysteries series
Overall, this entertaining story immediately grabbed my attention and kept me engaged throughout the book. The plot is twisty, the story is well-written, the settings were easy to visualize, and the characters were memorable.
Saboteur is a very short story about a man who is arrested for no good reason and finds an unexpected way to deal with it. Great little read!

Garry Disher is a favourite Aussie author whose offbeat Wyatt series features the crook. In Deathdeal, while avoiding his main enemies in Melbourne and Sydney, Wyatt is summoned to Queensland to pull off a job. I reckon you could read these out of order.

Loved it!
I have a few going at the moment. I am hoping to finish The Connellys of County Down, Fairy Tale, and Kill Joy today. I'd like to at least finish two of them.

I am also reading The Wishing Game and If We're Being Honest, but I've put them aside until I return from vacation. I am bringing A House with Good Bones with me instead.

Overall, this was a riveting story with intense scenes as well as compelling and complex characters that kept me fully engaged. It’s skillfully written and will appeal to readers who enjoy psychological thrillers and police procedurals involving serial killers. The intricacy of the plot plus attention to detail in the world-building made this a definite winner for me.
 Killer Traitor Spy
is a very current Aussie thriller in former journalist Tim Ayliffe's Greater Good series. It's not just Reds under the bed anymore! It's a big world and it's full of spies

A few that I saw on your shelf that I enjoyed: Me Before You, The Glass Castle, Tell the Wolves I'm Home, and Yellow Crocus. Also, enjoyed Scarlet if you're in the mood to work through a series. :)

Mystery
Overall, this riveting story arc immediately grabbed my attention and kept me engaged throughout the book. Readers interested in all aspects of forensics ranging from fingerprinting to genealogical tracing and much more will find something of interest in this book. I found it fascinating, but a little too detailed at times.

Reading the Game of Thrones series by George R.R. Martin for the 3rd. time. Currently reading the 4th. book of the series titled A Feast of Crows.Since the 5th. book of the series titled A Dance of Dragons was published in 2011, I doubt that Mr. Martin will ever finish writing and publish the final 2 books as originally intended.
The HBO TV series created its own final two episodes, including a controversial ending.
I loved Katherine Heiny's latest book, Games and Rituals: Stories. Unconnected stories ranging from imagining who taught Ted Bundy to drive (yikes!) to worrying if your wife's Marie Kondo decluttering is going to turf you out next. (Do you still spark joy?!) Thought-provoking as well as entertaining.

The Benevolent Society of Ill-Mannered Ladies
is an amusing historical fiction about the daring adventures of twin aristocratic sisters who risk more than their reputations to rescue women living in desperately awful circumstances. Fun, but also dark.

 The Thing at 52
by Ross Montgomery is the most beautifully illustrated story of a small child and an enormous creature learning about life. The artwork by Richard Johnson is stunning and as moving as the story. Every child should read this one.
