I saw that! At first I was thinking, “Oh no, absolutely not!” But then I was like, “Huh, maybe. Huh, yeah, probably going to have to check that out…” A bunch of the teachers from the school where I work want to go, so I can see getting roped into a group viewing.

THAT is the part that I would find super cringeworthy.! For us oldies it is funny and nostalgic but I don't want to bring this idea to yet another generation (sorry that is the feminist in me! :0 )

Remember when Judy Blume wrote Forever . . ., and all of the kids were reading it and all the parents were freaked out? A sex scene? In a Judy Blume book? My stars!My mom got the book, read it, and told me she had no problem with it. She taught 6th grade, and had to field questions from concerned parents. I'm guessing those conversations were fun.

It looks really fun! Such great memories of reading that book when I was a kid growing up in that timeframe. Karen, I'm with you on "we must develop our bust!" My friends and I even went so far as to buy a bust developer pink plastic hinged thing. It came in a plain box, thank goodness, as we would all have been mortified if our parents or heaven forbid our brothers had known what it was. Such pressure on girls! Ugh. It's funny bc those who did have the big boobs now wish they were smaller so they'd still be a bit perky at almost 70 years old. Now some of our 30 year old and 40 year old daughters are getting implants and we're all like, "Just wait. You'll be grateful for smaller busts in time." An ageless struggle.

@Violeta1 minor correction: a colour card needs to meet a colour + a number requirement. A normal card needs to meet a number requirement.
Skip cards = you need to find a speaking character, author, title or story location with K or P
Reverse: someone from your team had already read this book

Melindam, thanks for being so helpful always! Just to check, the reverse card means someone in the team already read the book during the challenge? Or can I just go to my team member's GR sites and check their read books? Thanks again!

It doesn't have to be a book that has been read during the challenge. It can be any book people have read prior to you reading/finishing it.
Before the challenge or before you start reading yours.If you are friends with your team members, it is easier to check their read shelves.
I really hate what GR has done to the books main pages. Earlier it was so much easier to see if a book had been read by GR friends or not.

Amy, we appreciate all your enthusiasm. :) ♡Depending on captains' RL, availability and all of us having to work around different time zones, it takes some time to get all teams going.
