Imperfect Lives Is a mystery that features a killer for hire and some of those impacted: how could I resist! More of C.J. Washington's work is definitely on my TBR. 5★shttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm never disappointed when I listen to Adjoa Andoh's narration of any of Alexander McCall Smith's No 1 Ladies Detective Agency novel, From a Far and Lovely Country is no exception. 5★shttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I felt there was a good story in here waiting to get out with the help of a good editor. Lots of interesting events based on real life experiences, but overshadowed by the larger than life main character and the main story wasn't introduced until half way through and rushed.
A Lonesome Blood-Red Sun by David Putnamreview: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Lost Dogs by indie Canadian author Lucie Pagé
If you enjoy literary fiction, do give this whimsical debut work a try.

Corelli's Mandolin is a cleverly written historical fiction and romance novel by English author Louis de Bernières, set in Kefalonia in Greece during the Italian occupation in WWII. What happens when enemies fall in love? ⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my review
The Shifting Fog (also known as The House at Riverton is another stunningly atmospheric read by Australian author Kate Morton. It creates all the glamour and secret intrigues of English manor houses in the 1920s, gradually unravelling the story behind a mysterious death at Riverton House. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my review
He Who Drowned the World by Asian Australian author Shelley Parker-Chan, is the sequel to She Who Became the Sun, together making a queer fantasy retelling of the establishment of the Ming dynasty. review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

The Book Club Murders by Alan Gorevan
A good popcorn thriller, though it could have done with more bookish elements.
