I loved the second instalment of A.J. Pearce's Emmy Lake Chronicles, Yours Cheerfully, and I'm looking forward to #3, Mrs. Porter Calling. Anna Popplewell's narration of the audio is excellent. 5★shttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

The Travelling Cat Chronicles is a delightfully quirky book by Japanese author Hiro Arikawa which recounts the story of a young man, Saturo and his cat companion Nana, on a road trip through Japan. The cat has the perfect blend of wisdom and supercilious sarcasm you would imagine if a cat was to narrate and draws you into this enchanting and poignant story. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my review

I was pretty sure that The Bullet That Missed would actually hit the mark. Of course I enjoyed Richard Osman's unusual Thursday Murder Club of elderly sleuths. Wonderful characters, actual danger.

Assumed it to be an adult sci-fi read, but it turned out to be a middle-grade sci-fi. Nevertheless, very entertaining and thought-provoking.
