Taylor Haha, you have a thing for Patch, don't 'cha?

message 302: by [deleted user] (new)

Patch was my first fictional crush (Hush Hush was the series that made me a hardcore reader)

Definitely. And Maven is not that special. Cal has more power than him. Elara and her family who have 'whisper' power are even more powerful than him. Luckily, she loves him so much that no one will touch or harm him.
Sure he is cute, but he has no love.

Katrina♡•• Ooooh I read chapter 1 in Glass Sword and boy am I hyped!Dying for the entire book after getting a taste.

Nurlely Oh dear... That is why I do not want to read the teaser. It will lessen my patience in waiting.... hahahaha

Kat OMG, I just realised there was a discussion made for this book!!! Dang, I wanna so badly read the next one. *sigh*

So anyway, my opinion...
I think Mare should end up with no one. I mean, more like I don't really mind who she ends up with. Right at the end, Mare said there wasn't really anything romantic gonna happen after they betrayed each other and everything. That may change though. But I think if she ends up with one of them, it'll be too cliche.

Maven: I really really liked him in the middle when he and Mare got to know each other. I thought there was a real chance between them... but then the plot twist (which I so did not see coming) and now I just can't forgive him. How can I ship him when he (view spoiler)I am pretty sure he was of sound mind...(view spoiler) I just can't do the Maven-Mare thing when he betrayed her. (view spoiler)

Rant done for Maven :)

With Cal: He's ok. Maven is more interesting. Cal is a bit, just a bit boring. When I was reading the book I kind of wanted Mare to get with Cal... but I don't know what happened there.

It's all very screwed up with the three of them. But I am very interested in seeing what happens with Maven, because it can't be as black and white as he betraying her and that being end of story with him.

It is quite predictable about what Maven would do to Cal and Mare by the end of the story. One who killed his father without remorse will be able to do other loathsome things. Killing a fiancee is different with killing your own dad. Once he stepped that line, he has gone to the dark side. Evil mommy is even better than Maven, for she loves him and he loves none more than himself.

As for updates, just follow Victoria Aveyard. You will get info about her latest books and activities.

Tenmodo WAIT, how do we knw that maven doesn't like his mum???

Woah, yeah... maybe I'm just hoping there's more to Maven than what he did...?

Kat Mainy wrote: "WAIT, how do we knw that maven doesn't like his mum???"

Well, we know that Maven's mother adores her son in her own evil way and wants him to be king and all... Maven probably respects and despises her at the same time, because she is cunning and smart but very controlling etc. Something like that.

message 317: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor Okay, so I think maybe Elara will die in Glass Sword. Just a crazy theory.

message 318: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor And Tabitha, I love that new profile pic.

message 319: by [deleted user] (new)

Thank you! It was me a few weeks ago on my 16th

message 320: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor Wow !! Well this is really belated, but happy 16th :) Hope your day was full of really great books ! xx

message 321: by [deleted user] (new)

It was wonderful! I got about ten books that day!

message 322: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor Oh lucky ! Haha, we're such strange people, most teenagers girls would ask for makeup but we're just here like "books please".

message 323: by [deleted user] (new)

Yup! Thats all I said

message 324: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor Books are so expensive, so whenever it's my birthday I just take advantage of my parents and say "But mum you have To get me all of these books, it's my BIRTHDAY !!!"

message 325: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor Oh, just read an extract of Glass Sword on MTV.com. It was amazing !!!! I'm so excited. Now I don't know who I want Mare to be with, I'm liking Maven but Cal.... Ugh I don't know !! I love Cal too.

message 326: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm still strong on Cal (in case you havnt noticed, I'm very loyal to charries)

message 327: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor Haha, yes I can see that. I'm having trouble choosing between Cal and Maven tho :(

message 328: by [deleted user] (new)

It is hard, I'll say that. Have you finished Hush Hush yet?

message 329: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor Zomg, yes I have !! It was AMAZING, better than I was expecting it to be. I have a hunch that Patch killed Nora's father (I read an excerpt from Crescendo) and I thought straight away of Patch.

message 330: by [deleted user] (new)

Hehehe. Tell me when you finish it

message 331: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor Ive finished it. Have you gotten Queen of Shadows yet? :) how are you liking the ToG series so far ?

message 332: by [deleted user] (new)

I have it and finished HoF but its soooo long it's scaring me so I'm taking a break and reading the Chemical Gardens Trilogy

message 333: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor It's 656 pages long. Yep. That is long. But I loved it so much I finished it in 3 days (mostly because I read it day and night) the Chemical Garden trilogy is on my to - read list. I hope you're enjoying them ;)

message 334: by [deleted user] (new)

CGT is amazing!! I need sleep in order to function so I can't read past eleven without seeming like a zombie at school.

message 335: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor Why does school have to ruin everything ?! >:(

message 336: by [deleted user] (new)

GOD! DAMN EDUCATION! IN RUINS EVERYTHING!

message 337: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor Yeah!!! I'd much rather be working at MacDonald's (no offence).

message 338: by [deleted user] (new)

I'd do that but then I have to work hard to do what I want to do when I'm older... I guess I could get really attractive suddenly and become a trophy wife? Then I could do what I want.

message 339: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor I dunno... Flipping fries and listening to grouchy customers and their daily woes doesn't sound really appealing to me XD maybe a book reviewer or book tuber ?! Trophy wife is definetely an option, lol.

message 340: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha. I want to be a writer soooo bad but it doesn't pay unless your JK Rowling

message 341: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor Haha, don't get me wrong, Rowling is an amazing author and everything and I love the Harry Potter series, but it's so overrated .
And did you have a look at the moon ? It's a beautiful red colour and absolutely HUGE.

message 342: by [deleted user] (new)

I was going to and I set my alarm for 2:30am. It went off. I woke up. I looked around. I thought "do I REALLY want to see this? Or do I want to sleep?" and I went back to bed.

As for HP. Loved the movies but can't get into the books (I know, reader crime. I'm going to get so much hate for this)

message 343: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor No, that's perfectly normal. I didn't read the HP books till last year.
Here in Dublin it's currently 9:05 pm and the moon is a blood red colour and absolutely magnificent. Couldn't get a clear photo of it but I added it my photos in my profile. It's very blurry as I was in the city and the smoke overshadowed it. I'm obsessed over the moon, it's turning into a problem :)

message 344: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha. I live near London.

I tried HP when I was younger but just couldn't do it! I'm going to try again but I might get my younger sister to do it first to see if she likes the! XD

message 345: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor I'm being honest here and am going to say it took me a while to get into the Philosopher's Stone but it gets better .

message 346: by [deleted user] (new)

I will read it... one day. But I just aggr! I look at my tbr shelf and think it will just have to wait

message 347: by Ndos (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ndos Yeah I've been putting off the Harry Potter series too, but it's so awkward when I talk about how I love books & someone asks me have I read Harry Potter. Lol but I will get to it!!!

message 348: by Ndos (new) - rated it 5 stars

message 349: by [deleted user] (new)

I know! Peeps are like 'What did you think of HP?' and I just stand there in awkward silence.

message 350: by Taylor (new) - rated it 4 stars

Taylor Yes, the main reason why I read HP was because my friends had read it and they were like "How did you like Harry Potter ?" And I'm just standing there, having to admit that I've never read them. I'm probably a hypocrite when I say this, but I hate when there is a controversial book... Let's use The Hunger Games. I read the Hunger Games years ago, but my friends practically bullied me into reading them. They kept whining at me and saying that if I really loved books I'd read it. That annoys me most, lol.
