Qualification: LGBTQ Read Shelf

Review:
OK, if those two guys on the cover are 18 years old... yeah, that cover just doesn't work for this story, but... this story worked for me!
I didn't know what to expect from this book since I haven't read Ms. Isaac before, but I do know two things...
1) I like the way she gives life to her characters!
2) I will now be going over and reading Agate's story in Moonlit Agate! Not sure if it will draw me into the rest of the series, but I really have to know what there is to know about the "woman with the wings"!

Got to be honest, I thought this would be a humorous book based on the title and I have been waiting to get it into a category to read.
However, this book was serious and dark in places. A vampire and a witch MC dealing with a war between demons and the rest of the supernatural world.
This book features Augustus and Leo and their HEA but the war is going to be an overarching theme throughout the 5 books. Read in 2 sittings only broken by some much needed sleep.

Still seems faster than normal ;) (Given its Saturday here, that's probably why.)

I forget you are like 12 hours ahead of us over here... that would make things feel weird!

Task 3 - 11. Read 4 books in continuing series, one that has not been completely published.
To qualify for this task, the selected books need to be in series that are not completely published yet or are ongoing. So the second book in a trilogy where the third is coming out later this year would work or a book in a series such as In Death that is ongoing would also work. Please include in your completion post a link to the series page to show that the series is not completed yet, i.e. expected future publication date on a later book or description as a trilogy with only two books listed.

This series is turning out to be so darn cute! The mystery was a bit more complex and keep me entertained until the end. Now that things are FINALLY (to quote Merrick) progressing, waiting until July for book 3 is going to be annoying... grrr ;p

This one didn't seem as intense as some of the others in this series. Not sure why. We had all the element but the overall effect wasn't the same. IMO anyways. The relationship development seemed a bit rushed somehow but still really nice. Liked it a lot but didn't love it.

I didnt realize when I selected this book that it was the story of Alexander's assistant and then I realized that I need to finish his tory too.
Anyway, Ryan meets Jameson when Jameson gets him out of a tight spot in a local bar.

Very easy listening with John Solo. The premise is similar to other shifter rescue stories - and its well executed with a dangling plot leading into the next book. Which I'll no doubt read sometime :)

OK, I am NOT a huge animal fan, but even I would want to go visit Fio's animal rescue farm... *sigh*
Yes, Ten and Rowan will always be my first "Pandora Pine" love, but these brothers just crack me up and break my heart and make me want to bop them up the side of the head... or "wooden spoon" them! *grin*
I was privileged to meet and fall in love with my partner in high school and we are now going on 45 years together and 43 years of marriage. Fio and True may have taken a different route to get where they were meant to be, but one should never underestimate the power of young love!
Not sure who is going to be next in this series, but am assuming it will be Nero!

I finally read a book from the Cold Case Psychic series. I think I was hesitant because woo woo crap makes me nervous. But I loved these guys! The case was sad as hell but the story solving it was so great. Loved that Ronan was quite the disbeliever until proven wrong and Ten just warmed my heart. Now I must continue!! Plus, what could Ronan have possibly seen in that evil douche canoe? *shakes head*

Love this series. Frankie makes it for me even though he is not a human.
True, Fio's high school boyfriend is back in town after 17 years and their first meeting doesn't go too well but after a while they get back together. Is it a little too fast? Yes, probably but I don't care I love this family and can't wait to read more.

Yet again, I love these two MCs, their friction and their relationship. I should have read book 2 ~ I'd forgotten I'd reread this not so long ago (maybe a year ago?) but I still enjoyed every minute. So now I'm set to move on with my reread of the series through to the end of the audios :)
I really wish PP would release more books in audio!

If there is a date listed at the top of the editions page - use it! Otherwise, I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition regardless of format for the qualification. Let me just leave this here. If every person in this country could save just one child from physical, mental or sexual abuse, suicide or being killed...
This was a story that has been told tens of thousands of times a year in towns and cities across this nation and many others. Instead of hiding our heads in the sand and expecting these situations to resolve themselves, we need to take Dante's and Angel's examples and find ways to make even the smallest change in our own little part of the world. Like a small stone tossed into a still pond, change is inevitable... the ripples go on and on.
There were so many lessons to be learned from a reader's standpoint in this book. I hope that this will inspire me and others to do even more to help fight the injustice that many in this country and around the world are making their life's work to destroy the progress that has been made for women, people of color and the LGBTQ communities.
I know, when I get on a rant... *headdesk*
As for the Tilly issue? Yeah, she and the girls need to tone it down just a tad bit and let those Marian boys get on with their business... just sayin'! *grin*

I am really enjoying this E Davies series - its just a really easy listen. I don't have to track details and its just a really straight forward story of our 2 MCs finding each other, dealing with some flack and crap and moving on ;)
I'll definitely be listening to book 3, assuming it has been released in audio.
Greg Boudreaux does a great job on this instalment.

I'm hoping I can use a Pass (can only be used once during the challenge) when I'm flat out at our local Ag show, depending on timing :)

I really wish I could remember even the tiniest detail from the first book but I can't so don't know if this one was better but it was a very good read. Miles is the serious one in this duo with Quinn being more fun. The sex starts right away and boy oh boy, hotness! I thought we would have us a no angst story but we just had to get the big misunderstanding. A bit annoying but still very enjoyable.

I bought this book 2 years ago but never got round to reading it so this task gave me the push to do so.
Irish and Whiskey, 2 FBI agents are paired together with Irish assessing whether Whiskey could be given full field status.
An interesting story with an overarching story of the death of Irish's first husband being investigated in the background.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this book but it also didn't truly grab my attention. I enjoyed it, but I'm pretty sure I won't remember any details in a week's time. I suppose that works in my favour if I do a reread ;)
I enjoyed the side characters as well so I may well read the next book in the series.
