That’s what I am about to start, too! This is my first book by this author.

Task 17 - 73. Read a minimum of 1500 pages in books by the same author, teams decide author.
Team Pick: Emma Chase

Royally Screwed by Emma Chase
Read: 5/14
Pages: 276
Rating: 2 star
Review: This really didn't work for me. Nicholas is a miserable asshole the entire story. I didn't really feel his connection with Olivia for most of the story. They spend 60% at least of the story having sex, nothing wrong with smut, I read quite a bit of it, but it didn't progress the story. I liked Olivia to a point, but don't understand why anyone would be ok with being treated as a second rate person. It would seem I'm in the minority on my opinion of the story, but that's ok.

I read this when it first came out and liked it. The 2nd time was not quite as wonderful. I did like that the book is written from Drew's POV and that he uses a lot of self-deprecating humor. But the the Bleak Moment was stupid and the resolution went on too long.

I started Royally Matched last night and will finish it today. Page count is 275.

This is my favorite of the Royally series. Sarah is such a great heroine - bookish, deceptively plain, and a true heroine underneath. And Henry is a fun reformed rake. They make a great couple.

Dee and Matthew are the best friends of Kate and Drew of Tangled. Their story runs concurrently with that of Kate & Drew. It was enjoyable, but honestly, there was not much of a plot.

Here is your next task!
Task 18 - 64. Read 6 books not set on a continent of a teammate. Space does not count - must be a real continent.
Determine the continents the members of your team lives on, using the 7 continent model. (You can look on wikipedia for a definition.) Select books that are not set on any continent of a teammate. This is not a team decision, you can use any continent on which a member of your team does not reside. Remember to let me know how you know your book qualifies, be it title, precis, book details, tags or lists. I need to know where to look to confirm your books.

A lovely romance and a mostly satisfying conclusion to the series. I wish the ending was quite so rushed, but thoroughly enjoyed the rest.

Oz by Lily Morton
Read: 5/16
Pages: 274
How fits: Set in Cornwall, all team members are from North America
Rating: 5
Review: I really enjoyed this story. Oz is hilarious and just what I needed today. There were many tender and sweet moments, love and humor in the right places. Oz struggles with his self esteem and having a healthy relationship. I absolutely loved his interview and how he handles things once he takes the job working for Silas. Silas has a big heart and will help anyone before himself, he's the opposite of what you would expect of an earl. I loved how Silas treated Oz and gave him space to see what they have together. The epilogue was so sweet.

The first book in a Urban Fantasy/Mystery series. I liked Lydia very much and the UF world built by Painter is unique. A terrific beginning.

Milo by Lily Morton

Review: I have mixed feelings about this. The first half was wonderful, hurt-comfort, humor, and beautiful story. When Gideon, Milo's brother and Niall's best friend on/off fuck buddy things really kinda go off the rails and then continue to through the whole "romantic getaway". That part of the book really bothered me especially given Milo's past and I felt like it was not called for, but I'm not the writer. Overall I enjoyed that Niall gave Milo the space he needed to grow and regain his confidence. We met Milo and Niall in book one, but we really get the back story in this one. I loved Milo in the first one and enjoyed getting to know him more.

Here is your next task!
Task 19 - 61. Read 4 books rated over 4.5 on GR.
Books selected for this task need to have an average rating of 4.5 or higher on GR. You can find this information on the main book page under the title or add it to the settings on your shelves. Please include the average rating in your completion posts. If the average rating may drop below 4.5 during this task, for example if it is a new book with very few ratings, a screen shot might be advisable.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, JK Rowling

Page numbers with source: Kindle edition: 453 pages
How book qualified, with links or cover as necessary: GR rating 4.58

I first read this aloud to my family on the day it was published. We were camping in SW Michigan and drove to the closest bookshop (in Michigan Center, IN) to purchase it on the morning of September 8, 1999. I read it all weekend and we finished it in the car on the way home. I read almost all of the HP books this way - aloud to the fam.
I don't think I ever listened to this book on audio until now and it was fun to hear it. There were so many important elements in the HP canon introduced here: Sirius Black, Prof Trelawney, Hagrid as a CoMC professor, dementors, and more.
Since all of the books are available immediately through hoopla, I will probably continue with the series sporadically.

Task 20 - 78. Read 6 books with alliteration in the title or author's name.
Books selected for this task need to have alliteration in either the title or the author's name. There can be a small word such as in or and between the alliterated words in the title. So books such as Spook Squad or Divided in Death would work. And authors like Lucy Lennox and Eli Easton would also work.
