Hey Mods--Just a head's up, since it's almost May and the May list will be published soon--can the dates for the following BRs be moved please? At least in the spreadsheet?

Heavenly Tyrant--TBD Limbo
Orchestra of Treacheries--August 20
The Darkest Road--June 3

Once again, these BRs are NOT in May anymore.

Heavenly Tyrant isn't on the spread sheet at all. The other two have been updated in threads and the bookshelf, and @Iain can update the spreadsheet.

I saw Heavenly Tyrant for May 11th... moved it to 2025... moved the rest... and moved other Songs to September/October 20th...

I wonder if it was requested twice and I didn’t catch it. The threads were made a month apart 🤔 Either that or we’ve unlocked a new level of GR foolishness…. Like, what if all those threads that kept disappearing suddenly reappear!!!

Getting on the Delay Train... anything to allow for a bit of slowdown in my reading, for the summer, at this point... even I'm behind on my BRs right now, and until I ramp my reading back up, something has to give... which seems to be making people even further behind happy, because it allows them to continue with some faster BRs that are slowing down...

ANYWAY... The Delays:

Discworld: dropping from 1 book/month for the summer, and the rest is TBD in August:

Hi Mods! Not sure if this is just spreadsheet or also thread--but Felina and I noticed that the first book of the Dragon Songs Quartet, Songs of Insurrection is still showing up on the spreadsheets for April, when it should be for July 20. Actually, looking at the link, the link is all nice and July, so it must just be the spreadsheet. All the other books in the series are nice and reordered, thank you!

@Iain--just noticed something a bit weird on the Mods spreadsheet (the one the google forms feeds into)--the colors aren't carrying over to the newest request row... is it just looking like this for me? Not sure if this is a problem or not, but figured you should know.

Spreadsheet always said June, afaik... I think Yanique just made the thread wrong... maybe there were GR deletion issues and she wrote July instead of June when remaking?... no idea... it's a purely groupside fix, tho...

I think I must have been fighting with GR at that time, because it's scheduled for June on the Bookshelf, but I had July in the actual thread.

We now want to move it back from TBD / May 9th to July 9th, and add in the short story/novella The Dregs of Empire: A Tale of the Sun Eater to the same thread on June 9th...

Do you want this short story to have it's own thread for June 9 qand the other for July? Or do you want a combined thread for June 9?

I/we were fine with a shared thread, but if you want to track separately, you can... Dregs of Empire is close to book length, but when Sun Eater is a tomey series of 25-30hrs books, a simple 9hr book is considered a short story...

It IS correct that we skipped over October... the date slot is alternating between Cinnamon Bun & BioShifter, and BioShifter fits the Spooktober theme more... Cinnamon Bun 4-5 is finishing in November/December, the cozy BR months...

I don't think it's you... I think Yanique struggled with book links, because web serial books tend to lack unique names, and just add a number at the end... some don't even manage to include numbers... Wandering Inn is special in that regard, for giving each audiobook a name that fits the story, since volume 2 and Fae & Fare...

I have the same fun sometimes, since I link every book on my spreadsheet to their goodreads book page... and some books really don't want to appear as a top 3 search result in the Google Sheets interface, no matter how many search terms I add... sometimes my only recourse is to go to Goodreads and get the URL myself and paste it in...

The Echoes Saga BR has decided to do some adjusting--we've hit a good pausing point and are going to squeeze in the prequel series The Rangers Archives, then pick up with #4 again in December.

Can the BRs please be adjusted as follows:
4. The Fall of Neverdark to Dec 17 [link]
5. Kingdom of Bones to Jan 17 2025 or TBD folder if you prefer [link]

Gah, @Iain, I made a mistake on the request spreadsheet again--finally doing the Kushiel requests...

Kushiel's Mercy should be #3 not #1.

I pushed the Hench / Villain / Right Hand BRs to 2026 / TBD, until Right Hand / Villain gets it's release date sorted out... no cover, and conflicting reports of Fall 2024 and Summer 2025 as placeholder dates on the book pages now... we were supposed to BR them in August/September, before all the delays...

Any other stuff we need to push?... I don't see anything immediately obvious in August...

Not that I know of... There's a couple new releases and #1s next month (or is it this month now? 20 minutes past midnight), but they all seem to be on target/on time...

Recurring problems like these are why I've changed my stance on requesting new releases more than about 3 months out, anymore... too many delays past Q1 of the new year, to be requesting in November/December of the year before...

If you catch it fast, I deal with it... I do most/all spreadsheet form data edits, and Yanique does most/all Goodreads thread making/edits (I can only edit thread titles of other people's threads, and delete comments, not edit comments)...

I just updated Small Gods to September 22 thread title, and will go through and update the rest now... just need to make comment #1 match the date I put in the thread title... spreadsheet was updated months ago...
