Due to an overenthusiastic BR scheduling in February, Felina, Iain, and I have decided to postpone our Lost Things BRs to June-July (from Feb-March). Would you be so kind as to edit the threads? Iain is already taking care of the Spreadsheet Magic.

I most humbly beg your pardon for the additional annoyance. Please don't shoot the messenger, my tentacles don't like it.

@Yanique: I/we need to move the Buddy Read for A Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping from April 9th to September 17th...
The release has been delayed... I've known since December, but was waiting until the BR was closer to reschedule, to make sure it didn't move again... I'm filling in my spreadsheet for April, and was reminded...

Looks like another normal day/fun day, for Yanique?
Based on my notifications, I assume Animorphs 25-28 was deleted by Goodreads... new threads jump from 21-24 to 29-32, and I made the requests in order...

Another edit... I'm taking some of the brunt off of Nirkatze, for once :D
We delayed the Buddy Read of Frances White's Voyage of the Damned, when we learned it was a UK release with no news on wider release, but as we've given more time for people to order the book internationally, we're now ready to reschedule it.
I've edited the thread title already (a few times, since it was TBD for awhile), but we need to change the date in the first comment from February 24th, 2024 to April 24th, 2024, to avoid any confusion:

Aftermarket Afterlife by Seanan McGuire should be starting on March 12, not May 12

Fixed
Was brief earlier, laying down with a toe injury flare-up the past 48hrs... mostly responded using mouse and copy/paste... slowly feeling better and able to walk on it again...
That was a weird thread fix... must have had May on the brain... it was requested for March, and appeared in your March BR list threads in Random Chatter / Invites, but when the thread was made you wrote May both times... didn't even noticed until RachelG mentioned it in thread :D

Make sure let it recover fully before you try to do too much.
I don't know where May came from, but at least I'm consistent...

We've discussed this a few times, how foldering is handled... all threads go to retired 2-4 weeks after the start date, if they're in the Current/Upcoming Buddy Reads folders and not the Book Club folder, basically...
Archiving doesn't lock comments, and folder isn't visible when comments happen and pop up in notifications, so it doesn't affect much...
A few weeks ago, I started updating the thread title to the current Volume / date, to make it clear to people that it's still an active BR and not a lingering one from January (similar to In Death & Stephanie Plum threads)...

The errors pile up when you're tired or doing alot of requests...
I went through a few weeks ago, and fixed some, where you put the book link and requester names in the wrong spots on the form...

Reign has been postponed--again... Could our BR for it please be put in limbo for now?
thank you!

I made a new Archive [Limbo] folder for tracking Buddy Reads that have been changed to Limbo/TBD, that way we (and readers/schedulers) can easily find / refresh their memory of Buddy Reads that have been put on hold until they release / etc... if that had existed last month, I'd have put Voyage of the Damned there... and a few other threads this past year...
This Warhammer series was a mess... Those are not all a part of the same series according to how they are listed on Goodreads, and I had to go to the GR page for each book to find the ISBN because they haven't been entered properly on GR.
Where do you even find these books/authors?

Warhammer IS a mess :D
Elizabeth started this Buddy Read in January, with Xenos (I renamed the threads to fit with this multi-series thing we're doing)... it's technically 3 series, about Inquisitors Eisenhorn, Ravenor, and Bequin, but they all tie together because Ravenor was trained by Eisenhorn and Bequin was either an ally or a clone/child of another Inquisitor Bequin from the Eisenhorn trilogy that ended up in a coma... the series spans 300 years in the far future, where people clearly live longer...
At least this series is all one author... most other series are handled by a half-dozen authors and clearly guided by the owners of the Warhammer 40k property... Horus Heresy just ended after 63 books across 2-3 series name changes...
Elizabeth got us on this because it was a book club book, nominated by her boyfriend... so blame him :D
We're only really planning to complete out the Inquisition chunk here as BRs... the larger Warhammer Expanded Universe is like 600+ books... multiple new ones release each month... they've only been releasing content for about 20-25 years and have 600 books already, probably more..

No one said I could only listen to one book at a time... just need to buy 600 MP3 players...

I'm just imagining the sound of 600 audiobooks going at 3X speed 🤣

It's a shame I can't find a clip from Finder season 1 episode 2 (the Bones spinoff)... walter plays 30 songs at once from a bunch of stereos and cassette players to find a blues singer that fled into hiding 20 years ago and changed her identity...

I remember that!

Can we either get a date change to August 13, or have the book put in limbo?
Thank you very much!
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Disquiet Gods audiobook release has been pushed to April 30.
Therefore, we humbly request that the BR date be moved back a month, to May 9th.
Thank you very much!

I moved them on the spreadsheet, so they won't appear in the BR list that gets pasted tomorrow-ish...

Heavenly Tyrant got delayed again, so the folks in the Iron Widow have pretty much all agreed we want to postpone the first book until the release of the second.
Right now, Heavenly Tyrant is scheduled for December 2024, but it's already been pushed back twice... so we're thinking of asking Iron Widow to be put in TBD Limbo for now, and we'll check back later this year on whether that date is solid or not. If so, we'll probably go for December 11th or so, for an early Jan read of Heavenly Tyrant...

It looks correct in the spreadsheet, so it's just the Thread.
