MODs - Please Adjust our Buddy Read Thread

For some reason, I feel the need to be creative with the series/number sometimes, to avoid unnecessarily long thread titles that are just going to repeat part of the title...

Like: Dune (#1) or
Quantum Curators (#1) and the Missing Codex...
I would do the same with Harry Potter, if there was a Buddy Read...

Oh, I like this spread out for Janny. I may jump back in to those. I liked the book but the group was moving so fast and those chonksters tipped over on me and trapped me like a cave in. I decided to abandon the group reads and just slowly work my way through them. We’ll see. I’ve got a surgery in two weeks that will have me laid up for two weeks. I’ll either get a ton of reading done or no reading so that will determine if I can jump back into that series.

Hi Mods! It's me, your favorite rabble-rouser!

One of our new members, Tabea, noticed that the thread for Seven Faceless Saints (which was supposed to be June 2023, one of the batch made by a member who went AWOL before the 2-person rule) actually says 2024 in the title, and was interested in joining... I wouldn't mind trying it myself too.

So to make long story short, the title of the thread says June 10 2024, but it isn't in the spreadsheet for 2024, and the first post says 2023 as well. Could we get it officially all set for June 10, 2024? Me, Tabea, and Mei are all interested in it for next year.

I've updated the bookshelf and thread for Daemon Prism and Iain will update the spreadsheet when he has the time.

Also Iain, could you change the date for Disciples of Chaos on the sheet as well. It's a recent request made for July 2023 and should be 2024. Thanks!

Finally just went through and checked every BR request for the past 6 months...

You scheduled so many BRs for 2023, when you meant 2024 Nirkatze... and then said 2024 Folder in the special instructions :D

Sorted Daughter of No Worlds, as well...

Along with a bunch of Arthurian Saga books, Saints of Steel, and a few others... basically the stuff that confused me when I was making my 2024 BR list, because I'd notice mid-series books on the list but others missing...

I finally figured out why I was confused a month or 2 ago...

You requested Dragonlance with terrible book name consistency... calling #1 Dragonlance Legends (no book name), book 2 had a book name and series name of Dragonlance Legends... book 3 had a series name of Dragonlance Chronicles (which it's called on Goodreads)...

Then, a short time later, you went back and requested again... it seems Yanique made both sets of threads, maybe, but only linked 1 set to the Buddy Read list...

But, the 2nd time, you called the first book Summer Twilight and asked for it in 2023 instead of 2024...

So, I fixed things, then unfixed things since it caused some duplicates, then just fixed book 1... should be all sorted now...

Paladin's Faith audio was announced for June, so the Saint of Steel BR has agreed to move this book to June for audio readers, and fill in the two months with Clocktaur Wars.

Could we please have Paladin's Faith moved to June 28th?

I know y'all are busy, but I'd really appreciate a reply or comment when something gets cleaned up... I'm never quite sure if I should keep bugging y'all or not, or what to look for...

I will get to it after making the last of the recent thread requests. This is so annoying because there's no rhyme or reason to which threads disappear. I even double check to make sure the links work after making the threads but still poof!
GR really needs to get their act together.

We also need to move Trials of Empire from Feb 4th to Feb 13th... it must have been delayed a week, or something, because now it's not coming out until February 6th, 2 days after the BR start date...

Mods, I hang my head in shame, I have done it again, made a grievous error when requesting threads...

In the request for Invader #2 of the Foreigner series for May 12, my brain short-circuited and for some reason I typed that it was #4. I only just discovered my error.
