March 2022 Group Read Nominations
I think there must be a problem with the Goodreads notifications. I'm getting any at all :(Cursed objects is a great theme. My nominations are:
The Amulet by Michael McDowell
and
The Good House by Tananarive Due
GoodReads is having problems with notifications. I sent a message out yesterday afternoon to all HA members about March nominations but it hasn't been received by anyone. This is really annoying.
The Good House is a terrific book, +1 for that :)I'll nominate-
Coraline by Neil Gaiman
The movie is one of my all time favorite, but I never quite got around to reading the book.

This one was read as a group in June of 2020, so it is not eligible. Please feel free to nominate something else.
*I noticed that the link to previous group reads wasn't working earlier; if this is the case, you can find it on the Horror Aficionados home page under GROUP READS, (subtitle) Previous Group Reads and Listens.*

It's not out yet so don't know if I should nominate it, but I will anyway, lol. Comes out March 1st.Sundial by Catriona Ward
(and yes I really should learn how to link and post pictures!)
My nomination is an indie read by Brian Asman called Man, F*ck This House. It’s a quick and entertaining read.
To post links to the books (which makes it much easier for the mods to know what you're nominating) you need to click the "add book/author" link above the right corner of the text box. In the window that pops up, you enter the book title and /or author name and search for the one you want, then just click to add it.
Radial buttons at the bottom of the box give you the option of adding photo or text..

+1 for Man, Fuck This HouseAnd for the sake of promoting Bizarro, I nominate two others:
A classic: The Haunted Vagina
And something maybe a little less controversial: The Perfectly Fine House
Ack! You guy's are making me nominate another Stephen King book, but we need object novels. We've done so many haunted houses.
Christine by Stephen King
Ring by Koji Suzuki
Night of the Living Dummy by RL Stine

The book sounds interesting but since it isn't expected to be widely available until March 1, I'll have to pass on it. It's cutting it too close for members to acquire a copy for the group read.

Amazing book if you want to read about haunted places. How about a church that is always in a man;s sights.

The theme for March is OBJECTS OR PLACES THAT ARE HAUNTED OR CURSED .
I can't wait to see what books you horror-lovers come up with.
Books read or listened to as a group within the past 3-4 years are NOT eligible. You can find a list of those books here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Nomination rules can be found at this link: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
As always, authors may not nominate their own work. Books with more than one nomination ( +1 ) are more likely to make it onto the final poll, so feel free to second a book you'd like to read.
Most of all have fun and try to out scare each other!
