Review: This book is what is known as a fan book. First it was setting up the next arc, so we got hit with a bunch of situations. But most importantly, we got cameos and small scenes with almost every couple that we've met so far this series. We get to see how their lives have changed and what they are up to by now. The main story was with Lucas and Sascha, from book 1. Someone is out to kidnap their baby. They use all their resources and tap many of their friends in order to find out more information and keep their baby safe. Doing this, we get to see a different side to Sascha. We also get to see Lucas in full on alpha mode. There were also some other side stories. Someone finally delivers some long awaited children; there is another pregnancy; there is still a problem with the Psy net and though the answer to fixing it is discovered, it will be a huge problem; there is a problem with some mechanical hardware that can spell death for important people; the consortium is still out there; someone finds a lost love. I, personally, am a huge fan of these types of books as long as there is a still a plotline and Singh does an excellent job. Meeting each couple made sense in the story and they weren't just shoved in there. And though this book is mostly scenes of our favorite couples, it does still move the ongoing story forwards. I do love this series. I look forward to reading the next book soon.

Review: This is book two in the Penryn & the End of Days trilogy. Angels of the apocalypse have come to earth to destroy humans and take over the earth. The two MCs are Penryn, a teenage age girl, and Rafe, an angel whose wings have been severed. Even though the angels are the enemy, Penryn helped Rafe when his wings were severed and they joined forces. This book picks up just where book one ended. Penryn has been stung by scorpion-like monsters and is believed dead because of the paralyzing effects of their stingers. Believing Penryn is dead, Rafe brings her body to her mother and sets off to find his wings. Penryn's mother is mentally ill and is off her meds. Her seven-year-old sister was captured and turned into a monster. Penryn has her hands full trying to keep herself and her family alive and trying to find a way to help her sister. This book is action-packed and entertaining. I'm looking forward to finishing the series.

I've heard about this book for years, and finally got around to it. And I'm so glad I did.
Our MCs, Brishen & Ildiko are both Royal, from different species, they are the spares, so they don't expect to rule but both expected to have their marriages arranged for political gain though they didn't expect each other.
This is a slow burn romance, with no running away, no angst, just mature, compassionate people who grow to love each other, through talking & facing adversity. I'd say this is remarkable considering both sets of parents/guardians.
The world-building is wonderful, no info dumps, but we get a really good feel for the different countries, and cultures. Potatoes will never be the same.

I love both Mercy & Adam and Charles & Anna, but with Alpha & Omega we actually get more couple time. Mercy & Adam spend a lot of their books apart whilst Charles & Anna are nearly always together.
Leah's past is brought to light, and Charles, Anna & Tag are tasked with finding out what happened to the settlement of Wild Sign which had been built on land owned by Leah. All the people have mysteriously vanished. Wild Sign is in the California mountains and that was where Bran rescued Leah, about 200 years ago.
Lots of mystery, music, monsters & witches, but where are the people? Coyote has a small but important part to play. And Samuel leaves a parcel with Charles & Anna, and am so looking forward to how that plays out.
Another wonderful Alpha & Omega book. I almost feel sorry for Leah .... yeah, no.

Review: In this book, we get to meet a new changeling group. Silver Merchant, former assistant to Kaleb Krychek and now head of Emnet, the emergency response organization created to help all people in emergencies. When she is poisoned in an assassination attempt, she is found and rescued by Valentin Nikolaev, alpha of the Stonewater Bears. In an attempt to keep her safe, she is taken to live in the Stonewater Denhome. Valentin plans to use this time to court her, but he doesn't realize that she has a secret, a secret that could spell the end to any relationship between them. For some reason, this book really hit me in the feels. I liked Silver before this book and really liked her developing relationship with Valentin. Valentin is a great big cuddly teddy bear and I really loved him. His life has been really hard and he deserves some happiness. When Silver's secret was revealed, I sobbed like a baby. I love this series more and more the deeper into it I get and I can't wait to read the next book. I am just so glad that this series works for so many call outs in Bingo.

Exactly!

Review: I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first one in the series. Elena has awakened from her year-long coma. This book spends a lot of time going through Elena's adjustment to being an angel and Raphael's love. There was a lot of character development as the two learn much of the other's past and learn to live together. They love each other, that's clear, and Raphael supports Elena through all of the trauma that she has suffered in the past and all the adjustments of the present. Also, several other characters are introduced and I'm sure we'll see more of them in future books. For this one, there was action but just not enough. This felt like mostly a segue book between Elena's humanity and her immortality. Overall, I liked it but not a lot. However, I will continue with the series.

This was a cute story with lots of strange pnr creatures in the Fantastic Beasts mode. It was also about a valkyrie, Kyra, who doesn't like to kill things even though her magical sword loves killing. As she runs a magical pest service, she ends up with lots of rescues.
Mason, a man cursed to be a gargoyle and the leader of the Guardians is the H. I can see that breaking the curse will be a priority the further we go in the series, as a man who turns to stone whilst its daylight can't always be there when you need him.
Ollie, the baby dragon was so cute. And the dragons eat magic, and apples.
Looking forward to the next book.

Review: This is book 4 in the Abhorsen series and a prequel to the first books. Clariel is 16 and unhappy with her parents' decision to move to the city and away from her beloved forest. She wants no part of the city, its politics, and the school she is forced to attend. All she wants is a solitary life in the forest. But as events unfold, she is forced to flee for her life and escape to the home of her grandfather who is the current Abhorsen. Her desire for revenge leads her into making some bad but understandable decisions. I was not overly fond of the character of Clariel but enjoyed seeing the Old Kingdom in earlier years. Definitely worth reading and I look forward to the next book.

No worries Sam, hope you're feeling better!!!

Aspen (bearcat aka red panda), is the female alpha Havana's friend & bodyguard, and has had a close friendship with Camden (angry white tiger) since they were kids in the shifter foster home. Both had lost their families in trauma, and both mothers had tried to kill each of them. Aspen was the only person Camden cared about - at all.
A lot of mysterious things were happening, and nobody knew who was the actual target, was it Aspen or Camden, which made it hard to guard against. The villain had it mostly their own way for most of the book. And it was fun trying to figure out which of the suspects was the actual villain, or was it more than one?
And against all the goings on, Camden & Aspen were slowly realising, with a little help from Havana & crazy mamba snake Bailey that they were in fact mates. I'm not giving anything away as it was pretty obvious to everyone except them.
I really enjoy these books and look forward to the next one.

Review: I believe all the important characters throughout the series have a part in this book. It feels like the author is trying to tie up loose ends as the series comes to a close. In this book King Felippe comes to town to question Eric about Victor's death. At a party at Eric's house, a young were woman is killed and Eric is suspected of killing her. So Sookie and Bill try to find the killer. At the same time, Queen Freyda comes to town to persuade Eric to marry her. Sookie believes that Eric loves her but can he turn down the power that Freyda offers? This was an enjoyable read and I look forward to the next book which is the last in the series.

This has never happened to me before. I started a series in July 2021. Four books published so far. The author started (and continues) to release the story as an online serial. I have become so addicted to this series. Between the published books and the serial, he has written 7 books and is working on #8. I have read the seven books 6 times, so far. I have read these 7 books 3 times since January. It's a sickness, I tell you.

Just so you know as of tomorrow you'll be 3 books behind, so I suggest finding short books that fit the called shelves. Even if you have to read them in between your obsession :D

Review: For this book, we return to Lake Silence and The Jumble. The town of Sproing is recovering from their recent troubles and life is good at the Jumble. The Others at the Jumble are excited about Trickster's Night, but they get more than they bargained for when the Crowgard's bogeyman, Crowbones, makes an appearance. People start dying and not all of them fit typical Crowbones' killings. Chief Grimshaw, bookshop owner Julian and Ilya Sanguinati have to solve these murders before the Elders decide to thin out the human herd again. I love this world. Bishop has created a great place to visit, though it would be tough to live there, human nature being what it is. We get cameos from some of the people we know from previous books including Meg, Simon, Stavros and a surprise person from Bennett. There was a lot going on in this book and I only figured out parts of it before the big reveal. I can't wait until Bishop writes more in this world and I hope that she has lots of stories still to tell.
