Yay!
This arrived today, the library said they'd get it for me and it sat on my record for six months, then said they couldn't get it. I ended up buying it from Book Depository.Love books about NY.

Nice!
This is going to be a super long post. I had the day off yesterday to get my car serviced, and ran to the local shops to do some chores. The lady at the second-hand shop (that is helping a lot of flood victims in the Hawkesbury) told me to take any books I wanted for no cost. I grabbed a lot, and will give some to friends. Then I bought some other things to give her a sale. The Hawkesbury seem to be coming together after the floods to help each other.
The Little Book Of Chocolate
Oh my goodness that's a lot!

Marianne wrote: "Collected my library reserve:Mother's Boy
by Patrick Gale"Brand new, looks good Marianne.
I also received the same as Marianne, although I am about to have a conniption about whomever tries and delivers my parcels... they leave the Aus Post card with incorrect con note/item no's etc.. something is bound to get lost one of these days! And I will not be happy! It has happened more than once.

Hachette, Brenda. Now that they are no longer offering books on NetGalley, I sent a begging email direct to one of the publicists at Hachette and they sent out a copy :)
Brenda wrote: "Thanks Marianne - I'll do the same. Do you know which publicist is covering her?"I have sent you an email, Brenda

Bought this tonight because there were too many reserves at the library Red Notice: A True Story of High Finance, Murder, and One Man's Fight for Justice
I picked up No Second Chance by Harlan Coben brand new for 50c at my fave second hand shop yesterday, along with $15 of things I didn't need. I picked up another Coben but as I didn't take my phone with me to check, it seems I'd already read it. I will pop that on my donations table today at the library on my way home from work.

From the library I picked up:
The Understudy by Julie Bennett - I've been looking forward to this.
The New Way to Cake: 60 Simple, Stylish Treats with Unbelievable Flavor by Benjamina Ebuehi - a friend recommended this and I am impressed just flicking through it. This looks like one of the few cookbooks I could see myself making everything.
Nineteen Letters by Jodi Perry - from the library freebie shelf.
