Despite the continuity issues, I really enjoyed my second dose of time-travelling Joe Bridgeman and I'm looking forward to #3 and #4, already waiting on my Kindle app. 4★shttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Like Water for Chocolate by Mexican author Laura Esquivel is an award-winning story with vivid descriptions, mouth-watering recipes, romance, drama and magical realism. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my review
F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote about the loss of his 'American' Paris between the wars (WW1 and WW2) in Babylon Revisited, and seemed disappointed the French would 'take' it back.
3.5~4★ My review with links to the story online
Tough, stubborn young teen Duchess Day Radley says she is an outlaw and will do whatever she has to to protect her little brother in We Begin at the End by Chris Whitaker. Good story, bit too long.

Yannick Lawry's narration of Julietta Henderson's second wonderful novel, Sincerely, Me, really does this uplifting tale justice. 5★shttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Heather Rose narrates her new memoir, Nothing Bad Ever Happens Here, with such raw emotion at times, it feels almost voyeuristic to listen. But her speaking voice is such a thing of beauty, I'm glad I had the opportunity to do so.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I wound up a yearly challenge with a new favourite book, Too Much Lip, by Aussie Aboriginal author Melissa Lucashenko. It is like sitting on the verandah with an indigenous family in a small town in Northern NSW.Love, jealousy, land rights. Lots of language, both Aboriginal and swearing. Loved both the written and audio editions.
5★ My review of Too Much Lip
