Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments I'm always up for a bit of time-travel/time-twisty romance, and I really enjoyed Melissa Baron's debut, Twice in a Lifetime. I do hope she has more up her literary sleeve. 5★s

Nice enough, but I expected more, I guess. It didn't affect me the way I thought it would.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments The thing about listening to Sean Barrett narrating Mick Herron’s Slough House books is that you can’t help walking or driving with a silly grin on your face, then regularly bursting out laughing. So worth looking silly, though!

Carolyn | 9836 comments I'm an outlier with this historical novel We Fly Beneath the Stars by Suzanne Kelman We Fly Beneath the Stars by Suzanne Kelman (lots of 5★ reviews).

It sounded like such a good topic for a WW2 novel with a difference (based on the real Russian all female fighter bomber pilots), but I was disappointed that it was more of a romance with a historical backdrop than a fascinating historical novel.
