Carolyn | 9836 comments B.A. Paris's latest novel The Prisoner by B.A. Paris The Prisoner was disappointing. An interesting premise, but never very suspenseful and too much explanation of the plot left to the end.

Carolyn | 9836 comments Deadly Start (Charlotte Dean Mysteries #1) by Phillipa Nefri Clark Deadly Start is my first book by Aussie author Phillipa Nefri Clark. Set at Christmas it's a good start to a new cosy mystery series featuring a bookshop. I finished reading it today while baking a Christmas cake so now I'm starting to look forward to the festive season (8 weeks to go folks!).

He's fabulous, isn't he? There's a great discussion at the end of one of the audiobooks between him and Ben Aaronovitch.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9974 comments Genevieve Hegney is the perfect narrator for Craig Silvey latest novel, Runt. Aimed at young readers, but her enthusiastic rendition is a joy to listen to and delighted this much older reader. 5★s

Rosh ~catching up slowly~ (roshreviews) | 708 comments The Visit by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
The Visit (Black Stars, #1) by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
An unusual speculative fiction short story that's satirical in its approach. I liked how it portrayed a woman-dominated world.
