PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments I had hoped to enjoy The Lullaby Man by Aussie author Anni Taylor more than the first in the series. It's set in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, a beautiful place. The author has lots of fans, so this might be just me.
The Lullaby Man (Tallman's Valley Detectives, #2) by Anni Taylor 3★ My review

Boy Blue (boyblue) | 25 comments I didn't go to school in Australia and so wasn't forced into reading David Malouf's Fly Away Peter Fly Away Peter by David Malouf .

Which is definitely for the best because it's such a moving and important work and I'm glad it was a book I could choose to read and not be forced to by a curriculum.

Here are my thoughts on On Fairness, ACTU Secretary Sally McManus's powerful non-fiction novella (100pp) exploring the effects of neoliberalism and the importance of standing up for workers' rights and a fairer society. A thought-provoking read.
