You can absolutely put off The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue to next month. We have other books that can cover, Denise.

Yes, absolutely. That is perfectly fine.

Thanks! I moved it, so there's a hole in the spreadsheet now

I entirely understand, Ashley! Which video game?

Horizon Forbidden West. I was going to put it off until whenever the PS5 came back into stock but I cracked and bought it. It's an 85-hour game so I need to plan my reading wisely lol.

I wouldn't mind doing this if we somehow come to a consensus of what to read. Sounds fun!

Right now I’m looking for another quick read for the weekend because I need to stop watching the news.

The Last House on Needless Street works for two of our green cards - so that’s the one I was thinking about.

Book - The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman
Date Finished - Feb.26
Cards - 1 (1st in Series), 5 (CFN Irene), 6 (CLN Singh), 7 (CLN Vale), Skip (CFN Kai), Reverse (Sara) + Blue Cover
Mini - Task #23

Oh yes! I'm so looking forward to getting Horizon Forbidden West. I actually have a PS5, but I know if I buy it I'll get nothing else done for a month lol. So I'm putting it off till after Uno.

That's on my to-read list so if that is something that a majority of us is interested in reading, it could be a good option for a mini buddy read.

I do not have the same kind of willpower as you lol. I started playing it immediately as soon as I saw that if you buy it on PS4 for $10 cheaper you get a free PS5 upgrade.

Haha, well, that is a really good deal. I would have been tempted too!

It's still really expensive though 😭. $80 went down the drain real fast, but it is worth it lol.

Ooph, yea. It's definitely pricey. I've been eyeing the new Elden Ring too, so I have to really budget if I want to get all the new games coming out that interest me. This year so far seems like it's going to be killer for RPGs.

I'm tempted by both but I really, really don't have the time while work is what it is x)

I placed a library hold for it in case we do a buddy read. It says wait time is about four weeks but it's super rare for no one to push their hold back so I might get it sooner. It was on my TBR anyway :)

Oh never mind, my other library had it available immediately ^^'
The edition they have has this cover so I'm not nominating my read for a green:

I bought a copy when the book first released and it's still sitting on one of my shelves. So yes, I would love to buddy read this book too.

Thanks for letting us know, Angela! Happy travels!

I'm going to make this post a sign up sheet for it. Here's the current people interested:

Everyone else, you don't have to participate, but if you want to, just let me know and I'll add you to the above list!
Also, what week of March do you guys want to try to read this together? Second or third, is usually a good week to do.

I’ll support whatever the team prefers. But if we have another mini challenge mid month… is it better to do the buddy read before or after it’s released mid-month?
I also need to get my work book club book pick sorted (I made the mistake of agreeing to run our book discussion awhile ago and haven’t been able to get anyone to take it over 😄).

I will try it! The library had it.

This is a good point! There is a mini-challenge every month, so doing it third week means we can all use the book in the mini tasks. That could give us a wide variety of options to fill.

Yeah, I've heard Elden Ring is supposed to be really good as well. And it's got George R.R, Martin attached to it too.

I'm in! I was the one who was originally going to read it anyway lol, so this is very convenient for me.

I thought you were the one originally reading it! I just couldn't find that post, lol, so I didn't trust my memory. xD

So, I'm going to get as much put on our official sheet today as I can. And then I'm going to fill in the unfinished tasks with overflow. There is only roughly 35 hours left before the lockdown and I don't want to cut it close, especially since we have so much overflow right now. Anything that you're currently reading, I'm going to move to March, so if you're working something and are okay with putting it off until the 1st of March, then it'll count for March.

Nope, I'm good! I'll definitely have my book done tomorrow.

Fantastic! I have a backup for B33 if we need it.

I checked in with Stephanie in a pm and she says she'll be done by tomorrow with her read. Though, thank you for having a backup ready just in case!

I have finished this massive 1072 page book! I adore Stephen King books so I was thrilled to see it on the small town list for the mini challenge for February. I was not sure where to put it as far as on the chart for UNO cards so I put the information in the overflow portion in February's tab.

Thanks so much! I got an unexpected paper assigned for school. I would rather be reading for fun, but life/school happens.

You're welcome!! I agree life has a funny way of changing our plans whether we like it or not. Good luck on your paper!!!
