I'm with you, Kylie. I'll probably read a non-sports book with a sport word in the title -- maybe Running Scared, or The Cricket in Times Square. Pool would work, too.

Does anybody else have non-sports sport word ideas for this prompt?

I also do not love sports, but I love the idea of using sports words in nonsports titles. Cover hunts are also great when you don't want to read topically about something. Any ball or sports equipment pictured on the cover fills this prompt even if it's only incidental to the story. Alternatively, anyone wearing a sports coat or driving a sports car could work as well. Give me a moment to look through some titles and I'll see if anything jogs my mind.

Update:
-Anything having to do with swimming - I have so, so many drowning titles on my shelves!
-Anything mentioning a field, a track, or any other kind of place where sporting events are held. (I have a lot of fields on the TBR.)
-Swords may be more of a cover thing, but swordplay is definitely a sport and would count for the I Spy.
-Club in the title for golf and a few other sports.
-Anything that mentions gold or silver or bronze, for Olympic medals.
-If you want to be tricky, you can find a shorter word like bat inside a bigger word in the title (battle, batch, batman, etc.) Alternatively, read about bats the fauna and use the title for bat the sports equipment.
-Almost everything under the sun seems like it can relate to cricket terminology. See this list from Wikipedia:
