30.1 - MAZZA1's task: A NIGHT AT THE PROMS
The Proms is a series of Classical Concerts performed in The Royal Albert Hall. It is so good to see The Proms back with audiences this year and this task celebrates that fact.
♫ Option 1- READ TWO books- One from "A. The Proms Series" and the other from "B. The Last Night." There is NO page requirement for this option.
♫ Required: State the options used when you post.
♫ A. The Proms Series
c) Henry Wood conducted Prom concerts for nearly 40 years and is considered the founder of the Proms.
Read a book with Henry or Wood in the TITLE (not in a subtitle) - plurals or possessives allowed, no other variations.
I chose the word “Wood” and read The Woods by Vanessa Savage.
♫ B. The Last Night
The music of the Last Night features at least three perennial favourites and a lot of flag waving. There are several Last Night Proms performed outdoors and linked into the Albert Hall for these Anthems.
a) Read a book which has a word of 4 or more letters in the TITLE (not in a subtitle) from the lyrics of Jerusalem. Word MUST MATCH EXACTLY.
Required: State the word used when you post: I used the word “Desire” and read Desire Turned Deadly: The True Story of a Beautiful Girl, Her Teenage Sweetheart, and the Love that Ended in Murder by Kevin F. McMurray.
