I finished my book When the Devil Drivesby Caro Peacok 3.5 starts out of 5. book 4 in the series. Loved the historical background of a young single Queen Victoria being course by prince Albert and Prince Ernst. Writing style is very good. The mystery got a big bogged down in middle of book. I liked all the dicuss of hourses and riding. There has not been a new book in the series since 2018. I hope she writes more.
Began reading The Triumphant
, the third in a YA series about gladiatrices. I enjoyed the first two books and decided now would be a good time to finish the series. I don't know what has taken me so long.
Tammy wrote: "I have just started ARC Apples Never Fall
by Liane Moriarty so far I'm intrigued."I am reading now also. It is really intriguing, has a dry sense of humor I enjoy and I cannot wait to find our what happened to Joy!
Currently reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

I am reading The Becoming

Started the year with a relisten to the audiobook version of
The Reversal by Michael Connelly https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm enoying The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles which is so different than his A Gentleman in Moscow (loved this 5 star read). It actually feels like it's written by a different author (not an accusation) because the storyline is so completely different.Anyone else read both and do you feel the same?
Karen M, thanks for the insight into The Lincoln Highway. I have it on the tbr this month and had wondered if it would be somewhat similar in tone to A Gentleman in Moscow (which I also loved). I'm hoping that it will be a comfortable, upbeat story; I'm not into downers.😊
Meg wrote: "Karen M, thanks for the insight into The Lincoln Highway. Very character driven and it's hard to explain but I enjoyed it but definitely not upbeat.
Anyone up for some good Romantic Suspense? Rebecca Zanetti's Anna Albertini series is very good. Set in Idaho I am on book to Bailed Out
by Rebecca Zanetti. Well and fast moving. Great for cold dreary winter read.
Here's a historical fiction mystery I enjoyed this past week. It's very close to a cozy.
The Turncoat's Widow by Mally Becker https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Spent three hours this afternoon alternately reading and listening to Carmilla by J. Sheridan Le Fanu, a vampire story that predates Dracula by twenty-five years. Recommended.
Here is my 4 star review of the contemporary romantic suspense novel: Silver Creek Bodyguard
by Lindsay McKenna.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Summer Darlings I just started reading this. I'm really enjoying it so far. It's the author's first fictional novel.
I am reading Great Circle
by Maggie Shipstead. It is good so far I am about quarter way through. Some of chapters get a big bogged dialogue that is not needed but overall plot is quite interesting.
Heather L wrote: "Spent three hours this afternoon alternately reading and listening to Carmilla by J.
