I heard of it but didnt paid too much attention.
Whats this GTA trilogy going to be like?
The same games but with better visuals or actually updated mechanics?

It would be nice to replay GTA 3 with GTAV visuals.
Never played Vice City myself.

I should have a solid victory in XCom over the next day or two. I may play some more Back 4 Blood at that point and see if it clicks. It's fine, but really, it just makes me eager for Warhammer: Darktide to get here next year.

I personaly loved GTAV and part of IV.
I think the GTA games are good once you get in the flow.
I like the stories and all but i love picking up my car and just drive around like i was doing it in real life.
Also the city vibe is very realistic. .I always end up driving in the same way as i drive here in Lisbon. lol

I had decided that tonight i was going to give Divinity a rest and play some Rise of Tomb Raider which is more brainless fun but i just read that i can enchant my bow with a fire essence that i had in my inventory and didnt know what its use was.
So yeah...i guell i´ll be playing Divinity in the end. lol

Gave the Rider's Republic trial a go and though I wont be picking it up day one, might be more tempted than I would have been when it's cheaper.

Hi Deck
Im probably also taking a slight break from Divinity.
Im really enjoying it but im 20 hrs into and im about to start...region 2. lol.
This game is gonna take me 100 hrs for sure.
Last saturday i played a couple of hrs of Rise of the Tomb Raider and quite enjoyed it but ended up doing the same think i did in the previous game which is going back and forth over the map to pick up collectibles and treasures. This can be fun but also ruins a lot of the the pace of the story.

Tempted to pick up the Bioshock Collection. I've only ever played the original and its 9.99

Between the PS4 & 5 versions I probably stuck well over 200 hours into it, which I can't say I've done with a game in quite a while.
Well done Deck!
I really need to play it. I have it on my backlog all updated waiting for when i get the itch.
@error
I say haw it! The Bioshock collection is a must have for any price but specially for 10 bucks.
I myself am hawing Resi Village later on but i feel somewhat defeated.
This was the game i intented to play when i eventually got my PS5. Its almost like a ritual i prepared in my mind but i just realised im probably not gonna find one available in the next 2 or 3 years so i quit and i´ll buy it for my Ps4 pro. I hope it plays well enough.

I had intended to get into The Evil Within 2 for my Halloween game, but I just can't seem to put down Xcom. I suppose the spooky aliens can be considered in season. It will have to do for justification.

Was kind of tempted by Blair Witch in VR but the hassle of setting the PSVR up again puts me off. For some reason when I've it set up, the picture quality of non-VR games suffers a little. Could just be my TV/eyes

And see absolutely no use in Chorizo at all. Guapo forever!

Glad you´re having fun with FC6.
I intend to play it too.
Random question, are crocs in this one still stationary?

Hi all.
Just a heads up that Innocence: A Plague Tale on PS4 has just appeared as being free in the new Nov sale and let me add to the library on my phone app.
The PS5 version only was a PS+ game a few months back so might be an error relating to that. Either way, go grab it whilst it's free.

Further to my post above, its just a trial version. Balls!

Wouldn't worry - even if it was for free you'd be overpaying ;)
Morning all
Cleared the first area in Divinity with my party on level 9.
Had a tough fight against Bracus Rex that took me a bit of internet reading until i found the apropriate tactic.
I headed to Lacula (?) forest and found a giant mushroom that started to talk with no end so i closed the game and played a bit of Rise of TR.
I also hawed RE Village.

Not a fan then Deck?
Have always wanted to play it but holding off until I get a PS5 and I'll definitely have a free proper version of it.

Hi all. Been off ill last couple of weeks. However, I got to the final mission of Back4Blood and failed it six times now. I've tried with randoms and on my own and it's proving a tough one even on recruit. Got close once but got an insta death. Also completed Titanfall 2 for the second time and enjoyed it a lot. I've also been rinsing microsoft points and got two free months of game pass ultimate for free - so extended my sub to the end of next year now. I reckon I can can get ultimate for free just with MS points - I may never need to pay for it again. Free gaming :-).
How do you accumulate MS points if you're not buying them?
Glad you're feeling better.

Thanks. It was scary and thankfully and hopefully it wasn't as serious as it first seemed.
MS points are like a loyality scheme - so you don't buy them. There are two main ways to earn them through your MS account (if you have one). Go to the MS rewards web page and each day complete some simple tasks (complete a quiz, take part in a vote, visit web pages) which takes me all of 5 mins each day. Switching your browser to Microsoft Edge/Bing on your devices earns you points each time you search for something - not missed google at all. And then the other main way is through gaming - there is a MS rewards app on the xbox so you can activate cards to complete a challenge such as earning achievements. And then quite a few you just get automatically by using the games pass app or playing a game pass game. For 10 mins of effort a day I get hundereds of points per day. Over the year I've worked out it will be well over 100,000 points - and a month of games pass ultimate is 12,000 points. 35,000 for three months. For the sake of 10 mins a day to do the various tasks (some of which I find interesting) it's a pretty good reward scheme. Plus with some games you get reward points - for example the new COD you get 6000 points.
Glad you're feeling better."

Mates, there´s an Series S in a store nearby and possibly they also have X´s there.
Even if they dont, im considering buying an S and an external drive.
I always thought the S was the same as the Ps4 Pro but from what i read its actually way better.
Plus, its white which will go well with my living room. lol

Personally i'd go with the X. The S looks OK but it's really a 1080p 60fps machine (or 4k 30fps) with not a lot of internal storage and external storage (for S games) is expensive - you'll effectively be paying for an X if you get an S with an expansion card. I'd say the Pro and S are similar it terms of graphical output except the S has the much faster load times. If you go for the X it's a 4k 60fps console with more than twice the storage of the S. Although I expect X games have bigger file sizes than S games.

I see.
Well, if they do have an X i already told my mrs im cracking so fingers crossed.
I wish i could buy a Ps5 but i dont think that will happen in the next 2 or 3 years.
I got an email this morning that a huge retailer here in Lisbon got new stock of Ps5´s. I checked 10 minutes later and it was already sold out.
Great....

For me to date there haven't been any games on either system that get me excited to buy a next gen console. PS5 can wait for me - not interested in it at all at the moment, but I expect that will change in the coming years with new games. However, this winter Halo Infinite and Fora Horizon 5 both come out and those both look amazing and right up my street. It's all about games pass ultimate at the moment - it is such good value - I won't have to pay for either FH5 or Halo Infinate. Plus the main thing is the crisper smoother visuals (on both machines) and most importantly load times. Otherwise I think next gen you can wait - nothing really that amazing available to date.

Honestly, the main reason why i would buy an x or a Ps5 is the same that made me spend lots of money in new graphic´s cards when i was a PC gamer.
I just want to play current games with better framerates or visuals.
Its honestly not about the new games.
Just bought RE Village and i got the same feeling i used to have years ago: Theres a better version of this game out there and im not gonna play it. Its time to upgrade."
Im playing Rise of the TR and i have 3 visual options in the game. 60 fps (which im playing ) better visuals (which is sluggish) and 4K which is also sluggish). So i NEED to play in a system where i can play in 4k at 60 fps. :(

Looks like an X for you then if you don't go PS5. ;-)
I love my X - but so far just for games pass and the better load times and visuals.

I dont wanna get too excited cause theres a strong possibility that they no longer have any X available but if they do, i´ll crack!

Another several attempts at the final mission in Back4Blood and not even close. Must be on attempt 13 now. For recruit difficulty it really shouldn’t be this hard.

No, in reality I ended up playing Nascar Heat 5 for some reason. I mean I like driving games but beforehand if you'd asked me for a contender for most boring motorsport, Nascar would be up there. But the game isn't too bad, a few too many oval tracks but not a terrible racer. Don't think I'll be platting it though, can't see me winning 10 online races
I finally completed Back4Blood. 15 attempts in the end. Managed with three other randoms but I think what clinched it was maxing out cards with increased bullet damage so the bosses health bar went down faster, using an LMG to keep up sustained firing on the boss and razor wire (x3 with equipment slot card increase from 1 to 3) to slow down the horde overwhelming us in the boss fight second phase. Cracking game though, really enjoyed it.
Next COD Vanguard all day this coming Friday 😝.

Hey Deck, if you wanted to drive ovals you should have chipped away at Grid ;)
7 years after playing it for an hour, I've restarted Dishonored. Playing it with trophies in mind completely ruined it for me so now just playing it like a normal person, not a trophy haw.
Can't say it's particularly grabbing me second time round but using the powers is fun and interesting. The trophy guide I started following years ago said to not use any powers which is one of the main charms of the game!
Also bought a replacement dual shock 3 for my PS3. My 11 year old one is really on its last legs now. Cost me £22 from CEX which I didn't want to pay but its in very good nick.

Finished off The Caligula Effect 2 instead. Not sure if I'm going to attempt the plat, could well be one of those that becomes tedious fast.

Edit: looks like there's a couple of VR games as well

Kingdom of Amalur?
Thats a nice one i confess.
I put Divinity on the side for a while and got in the flow with Rise of the TR.
Its such a dumb but fun game. Going from Divinity to it is almost hilarious. lol.
But im really enjoying it.
I also spent the weekend afternoons playing Zombi.
I´ve been frustrated with that game for many years since i got a gamebreaking bug in the very last area and couldnt finish the game.
But despite that, i always liked the game and i loaded it saturday after lunch played 3 hrs of it in a row.
To me its a really good and immersive survival horror game. Perfect for Halloween.
Lets see if i can finish it this time.

Sorry I haven't been around much. Work is stonkingly busy and i've had to be in the office more than I'd like over the last week or so. Hopefully we're all back to normal now!
And no, the crocs aren't stationary, they (and everything else) attack like mad - TG for Guapo (still can't see what use Chorizo is yet) and I've only just got Boom-Boom (basically Boomer from FC5) but I'm not sure even he's going to come up to Guapo's standards. Guapo can do everything (including climb up pipes to an oil rig!!!!) so he's probably going to be my main Amigo in this game.
