Chapter 1, Book 5 : (view spoiler)[I don't know if anyone has the same thoughts but I really wished that by the end of the series there would be some changes in the politics of this world. Like, we have reached the end of the series and the Olympus is on the stake, and even then... it's the demigods fighting alone with other creatures against the bloody Kronos and the "God's" sit there whatever they do with their powers. In book one, Ares had a hand to hand with Percy, and he lost! That's not the point, the point is the Gods could come down to make up deals and even fight with demigods (pretty mature for someone who's lived years), but they would not fight alongside even when their throne is at stake. Amazing. Not just the God's! Even Chiron! He's the Smarty pants, and I love him, but what the hell? Why would he allow the demigods to get killed, when he has a much better chance against half their enemies. Why would he allow a bunch of kids.. only 2 in this case (chapter 1) to go on a ship where there are not just thousands of evil creatures, but Kronos himself. Two kids who are not even 16!? Maybe that's just how the world is.. but I would love some rebellion against it. How does no one see the flaws!? (hide spoiler)]

Mia I completely agree with you. (view spoiler)[ Good that you pointed this out. This thing bothered me too, the role the Gods played in the whole war. It was too unrealistic. Yeah the demigods are ultimately the heros. I guess we get too wrapped up in the adventure of it all that it gets difficult to see the practicalities. If that makes sense. It is targeted for middle graders and looking at bunch of kids take on the world is something they would get fascinated with. Gives a sense of invincible feeling. To see it as an adult yup there were so plotholes but it's still really enjoyable. (hide spoiler)]

I enjoy Percy and Annabeth's romance, but I definitely am not a fan of Annabeth. I think she's the most annoying person in the whole series. With her going all goo-goo after Luke even after 4 years! And her mysterious nature. She would never tell you one thing neatly, either she would make you look the stupidest animal on the 12 planets or she will just... "No. Let's just focus on this first" "Nothing." "Later". Oh shut up! And oh God when she starts saying something and doesn't! Lady does it all the frickin' time!

Ok but the prophecy was short. Big deal, Percy may die, but it doesn't sound as threatening as when Harry had to die (hide spoiler)].

I don't know why I feel defensive, but if I had to sort Percy in a house, he would easily make in Gryffindor and this girl doesn't dare call him a coward! You like the guy, the guy isn't even sure he has a crush on you and you call him a coward while you as well can easily confess your feelings. It doesn't work that way princess. Jealous much? Ok!! So hear me out (view spoiler)[ I feel it is a bit unfair to draw comparisons between PJO and HP. I mean how do you judge whose death is more threatening? It is about someone dying so...yeah it's serious. Also I actually like Annabeth. Yeah she is smart so she has got a bit of ego going on for her. Genius characters like her usually have that problem. It's not the first time this has been portrayed in a book. I think she is just acting as teens do. Rachel is really cool, I like her a lot. I haven't read all the books in this universe so I can't say if anyone gets better over time or not. But with my current read of HoO, the plot does seem to get better and more complex (hide spoiler)]

I am genuinely shocked (I didn't thought much while writing down my thoughts) I said this.. but if that's what I wrote, those are my feelings towards it. And that's nothing unfair if I am being honest.

About Annabeth, makes sense. But again, she ain't easy going and I don't like her. That's fine too ig. I have problem with calling her a "genius", the creator of Labyrinth was a genius, but Annabeth just has advantage over others that she has lived in Camp Half Blood more time than any of her companions. That doesn't makes her genius, all she knows is bookish text. She lacks her own ideas. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 8 : Is there any God of dreams in Greek Mythology? Those dreams are pretty convenient. Who controls them? Is Percy the only special kid who sees them all the time or everyone else gets one each day as well? If not, then why is Percy special?

Oh.. and I was just reading in The Last Olympian that none of the demigods show any effects when Morpheus puts whole Manhattan on sleep. So maybe they can't control a demigods dreams as well.. because it doesn't makes sense if they could why would they allow Percy to see through so much and invade their plans!?

Oooo Circe sounds intense. I think the Greek Gods were kinda weird and crazy. The original myths always surprise me. And their debauchery is so well known. Riordan was smart to cash on that idea and write this book because this makes soo much sense haha.

Ikr!!! In such short span I got to know so much about Greek mythology albeit through retellings. I have this series to thanks and of course Lore Olympus. Before these my count for greek retellings was literally 0.
