It's a reread for me so I know I'm gonna love it

omg yess I would love that

"Gabe could sniff out money like a bloodhound, which was surprising, since his own smell should've covered up everything else."
"'Percy Jackson,' Annabeth said, 'meet Clarisse, Daughter of Ares.'
I blinked. 'Like...the war god?'
Clarisse sneered. 'You got a problem with that?'
'No,' I said, recovering my wits. 'It explains the bad smell.'"
ok now i'm realizing that percy's got a thing about how people smell lol.
anyway.
what did you guys think about (view spoiler) ? and did you predict that (view spoiler) ?? i definitely didn't lol.

Also I love how Rick names his chapters like I become supreme lord of the bathroom😂😂😂
(view spoiler)

hahahha i watched them a longgggg time ago so i don't really remember, but i think i recall not liking them because they were SO DIFFERENT from the book :/. if you don't think of it as an adaptation, though, they were pretty good.
i agree - logan was an amazing percy!! the age gap was kinda annoying but what can ya do 🤷♀️

HAHAHA IKR

And I always knew his dad is Poseidon...I've been hearing about it from my friends since ages lol
Hey guys!
I'm having such an amazing time reading this book!! I love the writing style and the way it is narrated. It feels very personal and informal which makes everything very accessible in the story.
I've actually never watched any of the movies nor have I been spoilt for anything. I know! Surprising, right? But I still guessed that Percy's dad would be Poseidon because of how water would behave around him...

But, I suspect that they've made Hades as the villian? At least, that's what I'm sensing... (• ▽ •;)
But after reading so many Hades and Persephone retellings, I've really come to like (love?) Hades so, it's just difficult for me to see him as a villian...
I definitely don't like Zeus that much though tbh so if he turns out to be the bad guy, that'd be great! haha!

Oh, also, I did not expect Sally to die so soon in the book! But I'm guessing we'll see more of her in the Underworld?
don't tell me anything! (٥↼_↼)

The whole Gabe thing was so funny though! The fact that he smelt so bad that he hid Percy's half-blood smell. Lol!

Hades is my favorite greek god <3

Can you recommend some Hades & Persephone retellings?

yes! pretty much everything Rick writes is accurate (though it depends since for some stories there are different versions and also some are darker than it would be appropriate to retell in a middle grade book)

wow, I never thought about that but what you say makes sense lol

oh woww hahahaha i never really noticed that 😅

In Circe, by Madelline Miller, it says that Circe cursed her to become Medusa. Earlier she was a sea nymph or one of the naides and she was very beautiful.
