For my first book, I used opton 1 and read The Other Boleyn Girl. I read the audiobook, MMPB is Druga sestra Boleyn (576 pages).
Metadata lists 1521 as the setting. The book covers more than one year, but she lived from 1499-1543 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Bo...) and the book begins when she was 14, so all takes place in the 16th century.
For my second book, I used option 2 and listened to the audiobook of Lovecraft Country and linked to the MMPB. Historical>Historical Fiction is the 3d listed MPG, and Science Fiction is the 4th.
