I'm in. I'm hoping to at least get my May and June 1st titles completed this month. My most amazing month would include the June 8th title & two older titles, but I will have company this month so I'll honestly be happy if I can just get those three most pressing books reviewed.Beginning of Month:

Oh! My reading has grounded to a halt. Unfortunately (or luckily) to go along with that, I haven't been requesting any new books either. SO my percentage hasn't really changed, but I have gotten further behind with the ones I do have. Summer is coming though and I usually have more time for reading then so we will see how it goes.

I do have a few books pending, but they are unlikely to be approved at this point. I found that I was feeling overwhelmed with pending publication dates, so decided to request less for a while. Summer tends to be a little slower reading time for me, for maybe I'll pick up again in the fall. Not that I'm rushing that! lol

I saw that one available on NetGalley and thought it sounded interesting, but I ultimately decided against it. I think I probably made a good decision.
I agree. That one sounds really interesting, but the reviews are saying it didn't live up to expectations. I might have added it to my TBR otherwise. Good review, Karen.
I was expecting more of a psychological thriller.
My own fault for pressing big shiny buttons without looking at the synopsis a bit more. haha

Ouff, so in April I once more added more books than I read so now I really need to try and do a requesting-stop!I also made an Edelweiss account and requested some books there for the first time! So that's exciting!! Are you guys on Edelweiss too?

I added one. I was trying not to add anything unless it is a September or later release because I'm a little behind and have enough coming up with little time to read. But... Macmillan Audio added The Maidens and since I'm pre-approved with them, I just couldn't resist. I'm pretty excited for it actually. It publishes June 15th, so I still have a month which is doable.
Love the justification for clicking the big shiny button, Kristie :)
(I would have done the same!)
(I would have done the same!)
My problem is that I can always justify it somehow. hahaAn interesting thing I have realized is that I end up reading most of the books I am declined for. I just don't have the pending pub date to worry about. I'm pretty good about only requesting books I really want to read, so my decline shelf is like a tbr for me. I usually request them through my library and they have purchased quite a few of them, but I've also purchased a few. I almost always love them.

I have done the same with a few books I was declined for. Normally I go back and give them my review anyway.
Maritza wrote: "I have done the same with a few books I was declined for. Normally I go back and give them my review anyway."Where do you leave your review for them?
Same here Kristie, I’m pretty good at only requesting books I would read regardless. I hadn’t thought of going back through and seeing what I was declined for to check which ones are on my tbr shelf
I'm not sure why I looked at it at all, but when I did I realized that I had read several of the books and really enjoyed them, so I started requesting them from the library and recommending them for purchase if they didn't have them.
Added These Silent Woods
. It was on my pending shelf for a little while and I was surprised to see the approval. I still have a couple of others hanging out there that I don't expect, but I'd love to get.
I just received and accepted a widget for The Noise
. I seem to be going the wrong way this month. lol

It was interesting from an historical fiction point of view, but I find the author likes HEAs a little too much.

Oh gosh... I added another. lol I had The Forest of Vanishing Stars
on my pending shelf for a long time and thought for sure it was just a decline that would eventually fall off, but I got the approval email today. I was so surprised. I loved her last book, The Book of Lost Names, so I'm super excited to read it, but I was not expecting to add another book to my current schedule. Well, that's 4 added and none reviewed this month. I do have one that I just finished and plan to review today, so the month won't be a complete bust review-wise.
Should I even admit that I'm considering accepting The Therapist? Anyone else read it and have thoughts on it?
Wow Kristie! Keep it going!I say YES for The Therapist. I haven't read it but I have it on my shelf and who likes to read alone??!!!

You're a terrible influence! lol (...I'll probably end up getting it. You know I have no self control. lol)
I finished my first audiobook from NetGalley!! The NetGalley shelf app is finally available in my country so I could finally listen to Vicarious! Here's my review and I can recommend it to anyone who enjoys science fiction and might have read Ready Player One. :)
Even though I added 2 new books, I made some awesome progress this month! Still increasing my percentage.NetGalley Challenge – May
