Kalisse goes for the central drive. Smart. Horizon watches, holding her breath. The device is gutted and instantly all the holograms lose power. And just in time, too. Nuska had been close, too close for comfort. Kalisse’s plan had worked, and — though she doesn’t like to admit it — it was better than anything Horizon could’ve come up with or done.
But that’s not it.
Rize is frozen a moment as Kalisse throws herself at the rebel. They go crashing to the ground and Horizon’s heart drops at the pain Kalisse must be in.
And there’s her chance. The chance she had been waiting for. Nuska is caught off guard. Horizon leaps to her feet, leg almost buckling with the shock, but she just bites her lip and forces herself to take a step. And then she leaps.
Her target is Nuska’s gun. In a moment, Horizon snatches it and backs a few steps. It’s aimed directly at Nuska, directly at her chest. Kalisse is fading, fading fast. Rize can see it in her eyes. But she pushes her emotions aside. If she can’t do this, neither of them will make it out alive.
“Enough!” Horizon snarls with as much authority as she can muster. The girl steadies her hand and looks down at Nuska with cold eyes. Venom threads her voice. “Cooperate, and I just might let you live.”

(wow that's some boss bitch energy from horizon right there, she's powerful)(and lol dont apologize you're all good!!)
Nuska narrows her eyes at Horizon, eyes burning with hatred straight form the depths of hell. She clutches her wounded hand, a trickle of blood seeping through. But then she smiles, one filled with poison, and laughs sardonically. "Sure. I'll cooperate. That would be funny for a change," she says, and puts her hands up in the air as a sign of surrender.
Kalisse's consciousness leaks out of her, slowly and slowly and slowly and ..... slowly.
Horizon's voice echoes around her as black spots swim before her eyes. She can barely waver a smile, barely experiencing joy that Horizon had trusted her, had done what she wanted, had given her a chance ...
(but there was still joy. she could still be happy, yes, even though she is slowly slipping away.)
And then it all goes fuzzy, then dark.
Nothing.

Horizon feels her body tense, the back of her neck pricking in unease. Nuska is being very…cooperative. That doesn’t seem her style. Rize can help wondering what she’s up to, if anything. Perhaps the rebel leader’s sanity has just finally run out…? A hopeful wish, but probably unlikely. Still, Horizon is the one wielding the gun.
She feels her heart drop. Kalisse is looking worse for wear. Very worse. Horizon takes a painful half-step forward, gun still trained on Nuska. Lowering herself carefully, she kneels beside Kalisse, keeping distance between the psycho rebel. Rize tries to feel her pulse, but it’s weak. Dangerously weak. Is it getting fainter? Dang it, Kalisse. Just hold on. Rize bites her lip. Kalisse had given her this chance, and was now paying the price.
If Horizon’s amber eyes looked fiery before, now they’re positively blazing. “You’d better hope Kalisse lives,” she threatens, her voice laced with a dangerous venom. Horizon doesn’t finish the threat. She doesn’t need to. Let Nuska’s imagination run wild with possibilities. That’ll work best.
But now Horizon doesn’t know what to do. Trapped in a supposedly locked room with a crazy rebel leader and an almost dead Gamemaker. Fun. She could try the door, but it may be locked, and leaving Nuska unsupervised for even a moment seems like a bad idea. And even if it was open, then what? There was still Nuska to deal with (Rize knew she could always just kill her), but then it would mean leaving Kalisse to find help with her bad leg unable to carry the weight. She could just wait until someone finds them, but Kalisse needs medical attention now. Rize could try calling for help, but that would take technology they didn’t have. Well, maybe they did, but she didn’t want to take her eyes off Nuska even for a second to check. Horizon finds hates this situation almost as much as she hates the rebel before her.
So, unable to make up her mind, she just bites her lip, crosses her finger, and hopes for a miracle. “Kalisse,” Rize murmurs, soft tones of panic just barely evident in her voice. “Please. Just stay with me.” With one eye on Nuska and the gun still trained on her, Horizon manages to tear a clean strip from the hem of her shirt and tries to bandage Kalisse’s leg as best she can one-handed. Hopefully that will staunch the flow, but she’s already lost so much blood already…
“Kal, come on. Wake up. Please be ok…”

Nuska watches Horizon desperately try to help Kalisse, small smirk wavering."You know, I could save her life. Like right now," she says, almost amused. "Just depends if you're willing to trust me."
Her smirk widens as she raises her eyebrow tauntingly.
(im sorry that my post is so short but like i dont want to reveal what nuska is thinking for dramatic effect XD)

Horizon can’t believe what she’s hearing. “Trust you? You want me to trust you?!” She can’t hold back the incredulous snort, eyes flickering with a dangerous light. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but you’re what got us into this mess!”
Horizon tries to calm herself, but the rage just spills out. Without this maniac Nuska around, none of this would have happened. Kalisse wouldn’t be a part of the rebellion. She wouldn’t have been an undercover rebel Gamemaker. Kalisse wouldn’t have betrayed her. Horizon wouldn’t be kneeling on the floor by an unconscious and nearly dead Kalisse, bullet in her leg and gun in her hand.
(Or, at least that’s what she wants to think.)
But then Rize’s eyes drop to Kalisse.
If this Nuska person has some way to save her, shouldn’t they at least try? Horizon can’t bear to let Kalisse die, even if the girl intended earlier to take her life. Kalisse had given hers to save Horizon, and she couldn’t just let that happen.
“Fine.” Horizon’s stomach drops as the full force of the situation hits her. “I don’t trust you and I never will, but if you can save Kalisse, do it.”
Maybe, hidden deep down inside, there was some vein of sentimentality that wouldn’t let Nuska end her ex-girlfriend, but that was unlikely. Possible, but unlikely. Nuska more seems the type who’d keep someone alive just so they could kill them on their own terms later, but there’s no telling what really goes on in that twisted mind of hers. And, to be honest, that’s what Horizon is banking her decision on. That, and the gun and point-blank range. “Watch it, rebel,” she growls, narrowing her eyes. “One wrong move and we’ll see how tough you really are.”

(okey dokey!! and thank you! i shall try my best at school!)Nuska chuckles darkly. "I find you quite amusing. You claim to loathe me and yet suddenly everything you do revolves around me. Better revenge would be to just shoot me and pretend I'm not there while I bleed out agonizingly." She shrugs, getting up carefully. "But I digress. We are not here to converse, are we?" She glances at Kalisse and that offputting confidence of hers wavers, but just for an instant. Nothing more. She steps towards Kalisse and lifts her up. She then walks to the broken window, and puts Kalisse down right at the edge. She whispers something inaudible to Kalisse then pulls something out of her pocket. It is just a disk, but then Nuska presses a button and pulls a cord out of it.
She then places the disk on the part of the window that isn't broken, and it sticks. Nuska ties up the cord in a way to form a sort of saftey hammock and places Kalisse in it.
"This delightful contraption could have allowed my escape from you with at worst a bullet or two in the leg," Nuska says, but there is no hint of pride in her tone. "And yet I stayed. Quite frankly, I wonder why." She leans out again to reach the disk now attached (most probably through pressure) to the window, and presses another button. Kalisse and her hammock slowly lower to the ground.
"My team is on the ground. They'll know that I want her healed," Nuska continues, staring down at the ground. She turns around and looks at Horizon. "Now, should I jump off and save you the bother of shooting me? Or do you want to cruelly extract your revenge as I explained in a detailed fashion a few minutes ago?"
(and no she's not using vocab words bc I wanted to make it longer or i wanted to flex my vocab lol. it's just Nuska's personality)

Horizon resists the overwhelming urge to just end Nuska, here and now. But if she does, what will happen to Kalisse? Rize does not trust Nuska, and she won’t pretend to. This may just be the best shot at saving Kalisse. And she hates it.
The look that crosses Nuska’s face is anything but reassuring, but it releases a bit of tension in Horizon. And the fact that the rebel team will receive her is a relief. Rize isn’t sure of Nuska’s intentions, but maybe, just maybe, there’s a person down there with a conscience. Someone who won’t let Nuska get to Kalisse. Maybe.
Hopefully…
Rize barely even recognized herself anymore. Where did all these dangerous thoughts and threats come from? Heh. Maybe Kalisse and Nuska were rubbing off on her. It seems like Rize has gone back to the way she was — before Gamemaking, while she was still running the show, still the baddest of them all. For some reason, she liked it. The cold-hearted feeling of power. Not bad.
Horizon has never really been one for mercy, but perhaps today is an exception. First Kalisse and now Nuska, both murderous traitors and yet Horizon hasn’t exacted punishment. At least, not yet…
With cold amber eyes, Horizon’s finger twitches. The gun fires, a bullet tearing through Nuska’s leg. Payback. “Go, before I change my mind.” Rize raises the gun once more, trained on the rebel.
“But if you ever show your face in this Capitol again, you’ll wish I killed you here.” Horizon’s threat hangs heavy, though if it’s empty or true, she’s not completely sure.

[[If you don’t want Nuska to get shot, or want it to hit somewhere else, I can always change it if needed. :) ]]
Nuska falls to the floor at impact of the bullet and stays there for a second as her blood start spilling on the floor. Then she looks up, her gaze dark and perhaps a bit unsettling."Fair enough," she says, though her voice trembles from pain. But she's not trying to hide her pain, only to enjoy it.
(pain resistance is one thing and can get you through a scratch, but bordering on masochism can get you through the Capitol's torture, she had taught herself. even at the cost of your sanity.)
"It was nice meeting you," she continues, smiling through it all, though it is clear she isn't feeling immune to the pain. She crawls back towards the window and pushes herself off, grabbing at the last moment a second cord from the disk still attached to the window. But instead of going all the the way down like Horizon could hope, she instead stops at another window. The Gamemaker Office window. She breaks it open with her good leg and yells something at the people inside at the people inside before continuing all the way down to the ground. A group of people dressed in black are waiting for her and carry her away with utmost stealth. Where they are taking her, Horizon can't tell. They duck behind a building and disappear from Horizon's line of sight.

Horizon releases a breath she hadn’t known she was holding. “Likewise,” she says flatly, her tone meaning anything but. Rize doesn’t make any move to stop Nuska, only shuffling to the window as the rebel disappears down the cord. She doesn’t go all the way down, instead making a stop at the room a few below. Gamemaker Office. Horizon curses, not all that under her breath. So they had infiltrated the Capitol, and in force. Rize’s breath catches. The other Gamemakers. Were they there? What happened?
As Horizon watches the black-clad rebel group disappear, she can’t help but second-guess her decision. Stupid. Stupid stupid stupid. Letting the enemy just walk away. What kind of Gamemaker was she?
“Congratulations,” Horizon spoke, her voice rough as she directed her words out the open window to one who was not there. “You made it out alive. I may be a lousy Gamemaker, but I am first a Milos. I hope you know we never forget a payment.” As she turns to leave the empty, destroyed room, favoring her bleeding leg immensely, Rize casts a single glance back. “Good luck — you’re gonna need it.”

honestly i might)
(lmaoo im not planning on using your characters since they’re yours, so dont worry about me plagiarizing you nora)
Horizon feels almost like she had said something out of a movie — so cool and dramatic — but that feeling ends as she staggers to the door. The still-locked door. “Oh, c’mon,” she growls in annoyance, jiggling the handle again and again as if that would make the door magically open. Her fingerprint didn’t work, no matter how many times she tried it. Dang it, Kalisse. Seriously? “Why. Won’t. You. OPEN?!” With each word, Rize pounds her fist on the door, resolve weakening. She leans back onto the cool metal and wipes a now ragged sleeve across her face. Slowly, stiffly, she slides to the floor, nearly crying out of the pain that shoots through her leg at the movement.
Tired. Why is she so tired? Rize’s mask slowly breaks, tears threatening to fall. No, she orders herself. Not now. Don’t be weak. Well, any weaker than you already are. But that does nothing to stop it. Horizon buries her face in her arms, tears silently sliding down her cheeks.
Alone in a locked room with nobody knowing; shot in the leg and having lost a significant amount of blood; best friend turned traitor and possibly dead right now; rebel leader still alive and seemingly victorious; siege on the Gamemaker’s office with the others quite possibly dead — could this day possibly get any worse?
Horizon doesn’t know the answer. She slumps against the door, unconscious.
